VoL) of about

1,100

pages each.

This work is well and favorably known to all lawyers; but it may be of interest to others to know that it covers the whole body of modern law. The text consists of a concrete, though full and clear, statement of the law, copiously annotated with citations to cases decided by the higher courts, including frequent extracts from the judges' opinions. By reason of the practical arrangement of the work and its comprehensive scope, the student is enabled to find the law upon any and every subject in which he may be interested, in the shortest possible time. The gift will be of inestimable value to the library.
