The SBI and the SBSTA invited Parties and observers to submit,3 by 30 March 2018, their views on the scope of the review of the work of the improved forum that will take place at the sessions of the SBI and the SBSTA taking place in December 2018, in line with the work programme, with a view to informing the in-forum discussion at their forty-eighth sessions.

Ways of enhancing the implementation of education, training, public awareness, public participation and public access to information so as to enhance actions under the Paris Agreement

12. The SBSTA requested Parties to consider the following areas in improving the relevance and effectiveness of the NWP:

(a) How to enhance the engagement of partner organizations with the aim of improving the linkages of their workplans to the themes addressed under the NWP;

(b) How to ensure that the NWP has delivered on its mandate, on the basis of Parties’ submissions14 and experience;

(c) How to enhance the role of the NWP to be more relevant to the work of the AC and the LEG as well as other constituted bodies and relevant workstreams in the light of the Paris Agreement.

13. The SBSTA agreed to extend the deadline for the submission of views15 on further improving the relevance and effectiveness of the NWP from 12 January 2018 to 30 March 2018. The SBSTA invited Parties,16 NWP partner organizations and other relevant organizations to also submit their views on the areas referred to in paragraph 12 above. The SBSTA noted that those submissions will inform the review of the NWP at SBSTA 48 (April–May 2018).

8.3. Penyiapan Facilitative Dialogue 2018

COP dengan keputusannya 1 / CP.21, paragraf 20, memberikan mandat untuk "mengadakan dialog fasilitasi (facilitative dialogue) antara Negara Pihak pada tahun 2018 untuk take-stock dari aksi kolektif Negara Pihak dalam kaitannya dengan kemajuan menuju tujuan jangka panjang sebagaimana dimaksud dalam Pasal 4 ayat 1 Paris Agreement dan menginformasikan persiapan NDC sesuai dengan Pasal 4, paragraf 8, dari Paris Agreement. Berdasarkan masukan dari Negara Pihak dalam peluncuran Facilitative Dialogue di COP23, Facilitative Dialogue diharapkan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan yang bersifat konstruktif, fasilitatif dan berorientasi pada solusi, tidak mengarah pada diskusi yang bersifat konfrontatif yang dibawa oleh masing-masing Negara Pihak, serta didasarkan pada cara-cara yang dapat mempromosikan kerjasama. Dialog akan disusun berdasar tiga topik umum:

a. Dimana kita

b. Ke mana kita ingin pergi?

c. Bagaimana kita dapat mencapainya?

Sebagai tindak lanjut dari diluncurkannya Facilitative Dialogue 2018, Negara Pihak dan Non- Party Stakeholder diharapkan untuk bekerja sama dalam mengadakan pertemuan acara baik dalam tingkat lokal, nasional, regional atau global dalam mendukung menyiapkan dan menyediakan masukan yang relevan terhadap tiga topik umum tersebut.
