Management in Spanish Thalassotherapy Centers
8.5 Conclusions
Continuing the analysis, we rotate the matrix components by the varimax method to facilitate interpretation, eliminating those factor loadings with a value less than 0.4 minimum considered 3 (Table 8.3 ). Regarding the variance, it is 80.626 %, which exceeds the minimum requirement of 50 %. Cronbach’s Alpha which measures the reliability of the scale is greater than 0.8 recommended minimum (0.973). The results obtained allow us to identify two factors. Finally, we want to know which is the most important group of perceived barriers by the Centers; economic and human barriers have less impact (3.6452) than organizational barriers (3.7133) (Table 8.4 ).
implement a quality management system, as it gives information about the barriers they have to overcome, which puts managers in a better position to anticipate and resolve problems that may arise in the future.
Finally, in the analysis of the structure of the barriers found, we saw that these are grouped either into “organizational barriers” which refer to the existence of certain organizational aspects that may hinder the implementation or certifi cation of the Quality Management System or into “Economic and human barriers”, which refer to the lack of fi nancial, material and time resources. The latter as opposed to the former are less important.
This research has some limitations. The fi rst is derived from the realization of the study and the specifi c characteristics of the subsector analyzed “Thalassotherapy centers”. The generalization of its conclusions should be analyzed with caution and always from a previous analysis of the characteristics of the sector that is to be studied. In addition, data were obtained from the perceptions of quality managers, which involves the risk of receiving biased responses by a person involved, and therefore interested in the processes to be assessed as objectively as possible. We therefore believe that it would be important to carry out the same study with the response not only from the quality manager, but from different human resources belonging to the company, which would provide different views. A third limitation is related to its cross section, as this work has analyzed the relationship at a precise moment in time.
