To support and improve the gas transportation business, the Company has developed several new transmission pipelines across Indonesia.
semarang – Gresik Transmission Pipeline
Pipe transmission Semarang, Central Java - Gresik, East Java has a span of 273 km with a diameter of 28". The construction project of Semarang - Gresik transmission pipeline becomes part of the Master Plan of the National General Gas Transmission and Distribution Network for 2005 - 2025, and is expected to become main gas infrastructure in East Java and East Java area that will be connected with existing pipeline of Pertagas, including the distribution pipeline development plan in Semarang, Kendal, Demak, Kudus and Pati.
Peletakan batu pembangunan proyek pipa gas 28’’ ini dilaksanakan pada 8 Oktober 2014 dan direncanakan proses commissioning pada kuartal 1 2020. Pasokan gas tahap awal yang dialirkan dapat berasal dari lapangan gas di Jawa Timur, misalnya wilayah kerja Brantas yang dikelola oleh Lapindo Brantas Inc, lapangan gas yang dikelola oleh Husky- CNOOC Madura Limited, atau lainnya. Selanjutnya pada tahun 2021 mendapatkan pasokan gas dari PT PEP Cepu Lapangan Tiung Biru dan Cendana sebesar 100 MMSCfD dan potensi gas lainnya dari PT PeP Cepu Lapangan Alas Tua sebesar 110 MMSCfD mulai tahun 2022 dan lapangan gas Lengo sebesar 60 MMSCfD mulai tahun 2021

The groundbreaking construction of the 28'' gas pipeline project will be implemented on October 8, 2014 and is due to be completed by June 2018. The initial gas supply will be transmitted from gas field in East Java, such as Brantas working area managed by Lapindo Brantas Inc, gas field managed by Husky- CNOOC Madura Limited, or others. In 2021, further, the Company will acquire gas supply from PT PEP Cepu Lapangan Tiung Biru and Cendana of 100 MMSCfD and other gas potentials from PT PEP Cepu Lapangan Alas Tua of 110 MMSCfD starting from 2022 and Lengo gas field of 60 MMSCfD starting from 2021.
Realization of gas transportation volume and revenues from 2017 to 2019 by each operation area are as follows:
Pada segmen usaha transportasi gas, Pertamina Gas berhasil menyalurkan gas pada tahun 2019 sebesar 519.483 MMSCf, realisasi ini naik 101,41%
dari tahun 2018 yaitu 512.271 MMSCf. Peningkatan ini disebabkan oleh:
• Peningkatan serapan volume PLN di Sumatera Utara sehubungan adanya tambahan pasokan gas dari sumber Medco Blok A serta telah beroperasinya pembangkit Marine Vessel Power Plant (MVPP) untuk menjamin ketersediaan pasokan listrik.
• Peningkatan serapan volume PLN di Jawa Barat terutama untuk Pembangkit Muara Tawar.
• Telah beroperasinya pipa Duri Dumai pada Q2 2019 untuk memenuhi kebutuhan gas ke kilang RU II Dumai dan industri di Dumai.

In the gas transportation business segment, Pertamina Gas successfully transpoted total gas of 519,483 MMSCf in 2018, this realization increased by 101.41% from 512,271 MMSCf in 2018. This increase was caused by:
• The increasing PLN volume absorption in North Sumatra due to additional gas supply from Medco Block A refinery and the operation of the Marine Vessel Power Plant (MVPP) to ensure the electricity supply availability.
• The increasing PLN volume uptake in West Java especially for Muara Tawar Power Plant.
• The operation of the Dumai Duri pipeline in Q2 2019 to fulfill gas demands for the Dumai RU II refinery and industry in Dumai.

Peningkatan volume transportasi gas tahun 2019 turut menghasilkan peningkatan pendapatan segmen usaha transportasi gas tahun 2019 sebesar 8,5% jika dibandingkan dengan pendapatan tahun 2018. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kenaikan pendapatan dari pengaliran gas ruas pipa Arun – Belawan untuk PLN di Sumatera Utara, pengaliran gas ruas pipa Grissik – Pusri untuk memenuhi kebutuhan PT Pusri di Palembang, dan pengaliran gas ruas Duri – Dumai menuju Kilang RU II Dumai.

The increase in gas transportation volume in 2019 also resulted in the increasing revenue in the gas transportation business segment in 2019 by 8.5%
compared to revenue in 2018. This was due to increasing revenue from the Arun-Belawan pipeline gas flow to PLN in North Sumatra, gas flow the Grissik - Pusri pipeline to meet the demands from PT Pusri in Palembang, and the Duri - Dumai gas flow to the Dumai RU II Refinery.
