b. The Improvement of Students` Word Recognition in term of Rewriting
The finding of the study showed that there was an improvement in students' ability in rewriting words. The finding of the study was seen from the data result gained that in the pre-test and in the post-test.
The pre-test was given as a test aimed to find out the initial ability of students, while, the post-test ability of the students were given before being given treatment. The post-test results took to find out whether or not the treatment works. The pre-test and post-test result of students`
ability in distinguishing sound were illustrated in the classification table and diagram below.

The table 4.3 showed that the mean score increased of the pre-test and the post-test in students` ability in distinguishing sound. The mean score on the pre-test was 49.45 and on the post-test is 71.65. The increase was on the mean score of the post-test. It proved that there was an improvement of students` achievement. Based on the result, there was an improvement in students' ability in distinguishing sound through the implementation of shadowing technique on word recognition in listening skill.
Grafic 4.3 The Improvement of Students` Ability in Distinguishing Sound
Graphic 4.3 represented students` treatment average score on the pre-test before being given treatment and on the post-test after being given treatment. It can be seen that the mean score on the pre-test to post-test significantly increased, from 49.45 for pre-test to 56.50 post-test. The increase in students` ability in distinguishing sound wass 14.25%. The score students got after being treated using shadowing technique had an effect in inproving their ability in distinguishing sound. It proved that there was an effect in implementing shadowing technique related to the improvement that the students gained.

It can be seen that the mean score on the pre-test to post-test was significantly increased, from 56.50 for pre-test to 76.65 post-test. The increase in students` ability in rewriting was 34.28%. it meant that the given treatment before after post-test had an effect in improving students ability in rewriting. It proved that there was an effect in implementing shadowing technique related to the improvement that the students gained.

The researcher`s intention, in this case, wanted to investigate the effect of implementing the shadowing technique on students` word recognition in listening skills at the eighth-grade students of SMP IT Yaa Bunayya Fathul Khair in the academic year 2021/2022. To get the result, the researcher used hypothesis testing. In addition, the table showed that based on the calculation using SPSS 24, the value of the ability in distinguishing sound t-test was higher than the value of its t-table (5.574>2.093) and the value of the ability in rewriting t-test was also higher than its t-table (5.789>2.093). It meant that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Therefore, there was an improvement in implementing shadowing technique on students' word recognition in terms of the ability in distinguishing sound and the ability in rewriting the students' eighth grade at SMP IT Yaa Bunayya Fathul Khair.
