Based on the analysis above, the mistakes which mostly happened in student’s difficulties in ambiguous meaning on recount text. The researcher found some of difficulties are probably faced by the students.
The students have lack mastery of lexical ambiguity. Lexical ambiguity has two aspect such as mentioned in chapter two, they are polysemy and
homonym. In the text recount that used researcher to test the students, the most kind of ambiguity sentences is lexical ambiguity.

Based on the result above, the average percentage of student’s difficulties in understanding ambiguous meaning on recount text started in
the question of number 1 up to 5 is 76% for the lexical ambiguity and grammatical ambiguity. The lexical ambiguity is the most of false.

In addition, the researcher conducted an interview for the students by giving them ten questions related to ambiguous meaning . The researcher conducted the interview on Desember, 2016. The interview referred to 10 students. Here are the result of students’ interview:

1) Related to question number one “What do you know about ambiguous meaning?”, these are the responses: (1). Ambiguous is a language that has two or more meaning. (2). Ambiguous is meaning in the context that not connect from one sentence but to another sentence. (3). As I know, ambiguous is meaning in the context that not connect from one sentence but to another sentence. So that, ambiguous is one word that have double face meaning. (4). Ambiguous meaning is the meaning in a context not context from one sentence to another sentence. One word have a double face meaning. (5). Ambigous is sentence has two possible meaning. (6). Ambiguous meaning is a meaning of sentence that has two or more meaning.. (7). Ambiguous meaning is the meaning on a context not connect from one sentence to another sentence. (8). In line with the students’ statements, the students know about the ambiguous meaning, although some students misinterpret about ambiguous.
