CHAPTER IV
FINDING AND DISCUSSION
This chapter consisted of the finding of the research and discussion that contain of the data analysis in detail.
A. The Findings
The results of the data analysis collected by using questionnaire was presented in this part. Questionnaire was used conduct to find out the factors influencing the students’ anxiety in speaking English. The data collected from the second grade students of MTs. Muhammadiyah Bontorita.
1. The factors cause of students’ anxiety to speak English at the eighth grade students of MTs. Muhammadiyah Bontorita. There were two factors cause of students’ anxiety to speak English at the eighth grade students of MTs.
Muhammadiyah Bontorita, namely : a. External factors
b. Internal factors
1). The External Factors of Students’Anxiety in Speaking English
The researcher gave questionnaire and analyzing used factor analysis through SPSS 16.0 to know the factors that influencing students’ anxiety in speaking English namely: lack of preparation, limited vocabulary, grammatical errors, and friends/classmates.

Table 4.1 The external factors students’ anxietyin Speaking English Based on Table 4.1, the researcher found that there were two factors influencing the students’ anxiety in speaking English. There were five variables that have a strong correlation with external factors namely, lack of preparation, limited vocabulary, grammatical errors and friends or classmates,. The loading factor lack of preparation than its score was 0.59.
Loading factor limited vocabulary than its score was 0.72. Loading factor grammatical error than its score was 0.57. Loading factor friends/classmates than its score was 0.76. Based on the table so friends/classmates score was higher than all factors.
Chart 4.1The External Factors Students’ Anxiety in Speaking English Based on the chart 4.1 above it shows that there were four factors of students anxiety in speaking. It shows that there were the different numbers of factors of students anxiety in speaking. The number of students’
friends/classamates was highest than all of the factors of students anxiety in speaking. The number of students’ limited vocabulary was highest than lack of preparation and the number of students’ grammatical errors was the lowest.
