This committee was called to order for the purpose of nominating can- didates for the offices of President, First Vice-President, 2nd Vice-President, Regional Councilors for the nine Regions of the American Turners, a National

The Chairman ordered the report received by the Convention and stated that, in accordance with the provision of the Statutes, additional nominations for all offices would be permitted from the floor.
Chairman Jacquin then appointed Turners Stocker, Kovats, Rexer, and

Jessen as Election Tellers.
It was regularly moved and seconded that if there were only one nominee for an office there would be no ballot taken of the delegates. The Convention Secretary would cast one ballot for the election of the nominee. Motion carried.
Additional nominations were asked for the office of President. A motion was made and seconded to close the nominations and to have the Secretary cast one ballot for the unanimous election of Alfred R. Kierschner, as President.
Motion carried by voice vote of the Convention.
Chairman Jacquin then asked in succession for additional nominations for First and Second Vice-President. Th.ere being no further nominations, in each case a motion was duly made, seconded arid carried that the nominations be closed and the Secreta,ry cast one ballot
for
the iinanimous election of the nominee, resulting in the election of Carl R: Anderson as First Vice-President and Edward Groth as Second· Vice-President.The Chairman then' called -for additional nominations for Chairman of Health and Physical Education. There were no additional nominations, but Turner Simmen asked that his name be withdrawn from the list presented by the Nominating Committee. This request was granted and the Chair ordered that a ballet be taken for the election·· of· one of the two remaining nominees.
The Tellers were ordered to pass one bla:nk ballot to each 'District: The Chairman of the District delegation was to caucus his delegation and then mark the ballot with the number of Federal Votes cast: :for each candidate. The Tellers would then collect the ballots and in coope~ation with the officers of the Convention, check the total number of votes cast by each District against the Federal Votes to which each District is e~titled. The Tellel'S then would count the votes.
The vote for Chairman of Health and Physical Education resulted as follows:

Chairman Jacquin declared Turner Schroeder elected as National Chairman of Health and Physical Education.
The Chair then asked for additiional nominations for Chairman of Cultural Education. There being no further nominations a ballot was ordered taken for the election of one of tloie two candidates presented by the Nominating Com- mittee. The results of this ballot were as follows:

Chairman Jacquin declared Turner Palmer elected as National Chairman of Cultural Edu.cation.
Secretary's Note: This is the first election of a woman to National Office in the history of the American Turners.
Chairman Jacquin then called for additional nominations for National Chaitman of Bowling. Turner Frank Falkel of the Syracuse Turners of the Western New York District was nominated from the floor.
There being no further nominations, the Chair ordered the balloting to proceed as previously ordered. The results of the vote was:

After the result of the vote was announced Turner Timm asked for the floor and moved that the election of Turner Falkel be made unanimous. This motion was promptly seconded and unanimously carried.
The Chairman accordingly declared Frank Falkel elected National Chair- man of Bowling.
Each of the elected officers, with the exception of Turner Falkel, who was not present at the Convention, thanked the delegates for their vote and promised to perform their. jobs to the best of their abilities.
The Chairman then asked in succession for additional nominations for Regional Councilor from Regions I, II, III, IV, and V. There being no further nominations, in each case a motion was duly made, seconded and carried by voice vote of the Convention that nominations be closed and the Secretary cast one ballot for the unanimous election of the candidate.
The Chair declared the following duly elected as Regional Councilors:
Region I-Charles F. Miller Region II-Bob Stahl Region III-Harry Grabner Region IV-George J. Jacquin Region V-Rudolph Koenig
Further nominations for Regional Councilor from Region VI were then called for by Chairman Jacquin. The name of Turner Elmer Crook of the Con- cordia Turners was placed in nomination. A ballot was ordered taken for the election of Regional Councilor from Region VI. The vote resulted as follows:

One delegate abstained from voting.
The Chairman then declared Turner Warr duly elected as Regional Coun- cilor from Region VI.
Turner Warr thanked the delegates and stated that although he was fairly new in Turner work he would do his best to uphold Turnerism and the Ameri- can Turners.
No further nominations for Regional Councilor were made for Region VII, VIII and IX, upon successive call by Chairman Jacquin. In each case a motion was regularly made, seconded and carried by voice vote of the Con- vention to close nominations and to have the Secretary cast one ballot for the unanimous election of the candidate.
The Chair then declared the election as Regional Councilor of the following:
Region VII-George F. Kuettner Region VIII-Otto K. Nell Region IX-Clifford Anderson
Chairman Jacquin then asked for further nominations for Trustee of the American Turner Endowment Trust. There were no additional nominations but the name of John Mohr of the Upper Mississippi District was withdrawn. A motion was made, seconded and carried by voice vote that nominations be closed and the Secretary cast nne ballot for the unanimous election of Stephen

Reskovitz.
The Chair then declared Turner Reskovitz elected as Trustee for the Amercian Turners Endowment Trust.
Turner Reskovitz expressed his appreciation of the honor bestowed on him and promised to do his best in the position.
Chairman Jacquin announced that this completed the election and dis- charged the Tellers, with thanks.
President Kierschner announced that the films presented at the Convention by the Concordia Turners were well worth seeing. Turner Orchard of the Concordia Turners stated that the :film would be available for loan to other societies.
Turner Eisele announced that the attendance at this Convention had been 144 delegates and 29 alternates for a total of 173.
President Kierschner complimented the host society, the American Turners S.T.V. on the~ cleanliness of their building. He noted that even the ashtrays were cleaned between sessions.
A motion was made and seconded to thank the officers of the Convention for a splendid job. Motion carried enthusiastically by voice vote of the Con- vention.
The Chairman than thanked all of the delegates for their courteous atten- tion and fine .cooperation shown during the deliberations of this Convention.
