The School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI; is offering the baccalaureate as well as associate pro­

grams. Course instructors include lUPUI Bloomington faculty, and city and state government Asa part of the program, a major effort is being made to put students in direct contact with representatives and activities of city and state government. This is facilitated by numerous students and part-time faculty members who hold responsible

agencies.

The Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs curriculum is built around courses in composi­

tion, speech, mathematics and statistics, and courses

in the biological sciences, mathematics, physical sciences, and the arts and humanities. Core and concentration courses offer classroom work in public affairs, environmental systems, urban systems, urban and policy analysis, public administration, public financial management, criminal justice, and environmental management. Classroom studies are by public service experience and training.

Candidates for the Associate of Science in Criminal Justice must complete 60 credit hours of course work. Courses meeting the Associate of Science degree requirements are those which either are included in, for, baccalaureate

The Associate of Science in Public Affairs requires 60 semester hours of study.
