Getting to Know Warsaw
With Warsaw at the heart of Poland, and Poland at the heart of Europe, it is common meeting place, not only for political and scientific confer- ences, but also for business and cultural events.
With modern architecture, friendly infrastructure and creative inhabitants – here lies the beating heart of business. But behind the bustle of the business world you can feel the rhythm of the city, try the many and varied tastes of the city’s restaurants, stroll along the banks of Vistula or simply get lost in the backstreets and discover something fascinating.
Historical City
During your stay in Warsaw, try to find a little time to visit some of the city’s excellent museums and galleries. Stop by the Royal Castle, the Museum of Warsaw, or visit another former royal residence – the Royal Łazienki Museum – located in the most beautiful park in the city. If you haven’t been before, take a trip to the Warsaw Rising Museum, dedi- cated to the heroism of Varsovians and the events of the final months of World War II. The POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews will introduce you to the 1,000-year-old history of Polish Jews.
Chopin’s City
Fryderyk Chopin is known all around the world as one of the greatest composers and pianists of the 19th century. Warsaw is the city, where Fryderyk grew up and spent his formative years.
The Fryderyk Chopin Museum at Warsaw’s Ostrogski Palace is one of the most highly acclaimed modern biographical museums in Europe
Open-air concerts are held at the feet of the monument to Fryderyk Chopin every Sunday from May until September. Many concerts are organized in the prestigious venues in the city.

Green City
Warsaw is a green and refreshing destination with its 346 leafy squares and 96 parks covering a quarter of the city.
The largest and most impressive of these is the Royal Łazienki Park and Palace complex covering 76 ha of parkland in the middle of the city and containing some beautiful architecture.
There is also the incredible green roof of the University Library, one of the largest rooftop gardens in Europe, with a view looking out over the Vistula River and the “PGE Narodowy” Stadium.
