B. Discussion

1. The Impact of Clustering Technique on the Word Mastery of Learning Express (LEX) Alumni

Clustering Technique is the of the process to mastery in English, in this research there are several impact of clustering technique on the word mastery of learning express alumni such as: lead the students to be more motivated, improve students vocabulary, No huge difficulties in the learning process and

Learning Express (LEX) Alumni, the impact of the clustering technique gave the positive impact toward the word mastery in English. Moreover, the motivation of the students is high, and the difficulties in terms of vocabulary mastery decrease because 80% students said that they don’t have any difficulties on the word mastery after implement the clustering technique. The results of this study inline with research by Andayani (2017) There was effectiveness of using clustering technique to teach vocabulary to the students. The use of clustering approach can enrich the vocabulary for the students.

Meanwhile, research by Dewang & Kamsinah (2017) Contradict with results of study. Dewang & Kamsinah found that the use of Clustering Method is unable to enrich the students’ vocabulary. Different with Rukmana (2020) research, he found that The using Clustering was able to increase the students vocabulary mastery. the results of his study supported the with this study shows the impact of the clustering method can effect to the motivation of the students and also increase the vocabulary mastery of the students, especially for students learning Express Alumni because they already use clustering technique in program of Learning Express (LEX) and the students cooperate with international students from Singapore Polytechnic. Therefore, the students can get new vocabulary even advanced vocabulary from the students of Singapore Polytechnic

Binus students affairs (2019) Learning Express (stylized as LeX) Program is an Overseas Social Innovation Project initiated by Singapore

2 weeks. Students use the Design Thinking methodology to co-create innovative prototype solutions to real-life issues. The positive impact is on knowledge and comprehension, since some students still do not comprehend what is covered in aspects of vocabulary such as the meaning of words in the forms hyponym and polysemy.

According to Harahap (2018), "clustering approach improves when it can be utilized in real-world settings after learning occurs, and students gain confidence in learning English, particularly vocabulary." According to that hypothesis, it looks as though the clustering approach can aid college students in simplifying the process and increasing their confidence in acquiring mastery of the terms while delivering the subject. Based on the findings of the researchers' research, it can be concluded that adopting clustering approach based on Rico in Sabarun (2013) has a number of benefits. Hambali (2021) The Learning Express program can help the primary students gain insight and increase their interest and learning outcomes in learning English.

Therefore, the Students Learning Express (Lex) alumni get the positive impact using clustering technique during the program and also help to gain motivation, limit the difficulties in vocabulary mastery and improve the students word mastey.

Express (LEX) alumni

According to the findings of the research, which included the use of clustering techniques, it was determined that clustering techniques had a significant influence on the word master of Learning Express graduates indicated as intermediate level of knowledge of word mastery. The first is that the clustering approach had a significant influence on several aspects of vocabulary, including the meaning of the word, its creation, its usage, and its grammar, particularly in terms of antonym, synonym, part of speech, singular, plural, countable, and uncountable nouns. Students are highly driven to study English through the clustering method learning process, which has an effect on how all students feel as they grow up through the clustering technique and other learning processes employed in the Learning Express activity.

The clustering strategy can encourage students to pay greater attention to classes and to develop their memory and conceptual vocabulary, so influencing students' word mastering. In relation to prior study, the findings of Kartikasari (2014) and Harahap (2018) indicate that clustering techniques can improve and have an effect on students' word mastering. The knowledge of the students Learning Express (LEX) Alumni after use clustering approach on word mastering shown that the clustering technique increased students' word mastery skills.

According to Hartati (2020) research there was significant influence of word cluster strategy towards students’ vocabulary mastery. The result of the study inline with this research is proven by 80% students know the meaning of the

(LEX) Alumni as intermediate level.

Therefore, Clustering Technique can help the students to enhance of the students skill in vocabulary mastery. It is Proven by most of the words that researcher put in the questionnaire students can answer correctly. Only a few of the students do not know the meaning of the word. So, the students learning express alumni skill in vocabulary mastery indicated as intermediate level.

CONCLUSIONS AND SUGGESTIONS

Following data collection and analysis, the researcher made some findings and recommendations regarding the influence of clustering approach on word master in Learning Express alumni.

A. Conclusion

Based on the results of the research the conclusion of the research drawn as follows:

1. The impact of clustering technique on the word mastery of learning express (lex) alumni has positive impact. gave the positive impact toward the word mastery in English. Moreover, the motivation of the students is high, and the difficulties in terms of vocabulary mastery decrease because 80% students said that they don’t have any difficulties on the word mastery after implement the clustering technique.

2. The word mastery (knowledge) of the students Learning Express (LEX) Alumni as intermediate level because most of the students know the advance word that researcher give to the students which means that the clustering technique can help the students to the word mastery in English. Clustering approach has an effect on the following components of students' vocabulary: word meaning, word creation, word grammar, and word use. By utilizing the clustering approach, students may maximize their potential, particularly those who are

B. Suggestions

The researcher would like to provide the following recommendations based on the research's findings and discussion.:

a. Suggestion for teachers

a. English teachers can utilize students' problems to gauge their progress toward mastering the language. For instance, teachers can place a premium on

b. common errors children make in target language performance, particularly in word mastery. To maximize students' ability to expand their word mastering skills, the teacher can explain various objects that are surrounding the classroom or where they are. For instance, the teacher instructs the instructor to pay attention to the objects around them and then asks them to group them into one group according to their needs in part of speech. After discussing or assigning additional work, students can identify and group additional vocabulary according to the rules in part of speech.

c. To help students develop their capacity to broaden their word mastery, teachers can require students to practice word mastering on a regular basis.

This can be accomplished by providing kids with activities or experiences connected to grouping words that are present in their environment. So that students can share their experiences with their friends and get more involved

b. Suggestions for students

Clustering is one of the elements in English language learning that can be more beneficial in terms of acquiring words and adding new vocabulary.

Students should study more and practice analyzing to improve their vocabulary mastery, as well as complete teacher-assigned tasks and homework. They must have the courage to inquire when they do not comprehend the teacher's explanation.

c. Suggestions for Other Researchers

Other researchers should perform additional research on the same object but from a variety of different angles, as students frequently confront a variety of different issues. Although the results of this study are imperfect because they focus exclusively on the clustering technique and do not discuss vocabulary mastery, other researchers can benefit from the information and references provided in this research about the Learning Express Activity developed in collaboration between Muhammadiyah University of Makassar and Singapore Polytechnic.
