- Pemilahan ruas jalan menjadi segmen-segmen kecil yang memiliki
karakteristik sejenis.
- Kemiringan jalan (grade) relatif sama.
- Kondisi permukaan relatif sama : Jalan dengan perkerasan dibaca sebagai segmen berbeda.
- Persimpangan : Persimpangan merupakan awal/akhir suatu segmen.
- Kondisi khusus : Tikungan dengan radius putar kecil, penyempitan jalur dll
- Target Travel speed : 20Km/jam.
- Batasan : Geometri jalan, Kondisi unit, Skill operator “Dibutuhkan Kebijaksanaan dari
Perencana”

D2 = the distance traveled in the time necessary for actuation of the braking system after the pedal is depressed.depending on the size of the truck and the braking system
D3 = the distance that the fully-applied brakes need to bring the vehicle to a stop. depends on the speed of the vehicle when the brakes are applied .
