Male: Rather dull in lustre and of a greenish-blue color throughout above, same beneath but more shining; abdomen rufo-ferruginous; an- tennae, all of the femora, tibiae and tarsi black. SOCIETYrior area; with unequally transverse rugse; densely and finely punctate, with short inconspicuous black hairs. Prosternum concave and trans- versely plicate. Antennae twice the length ofthebody. Elytrastrongly taperingfrom baseto apex,tipsseparatelyrounded,sides slightlyarcuate;

Posteriortibiaenearly aslong as the femora, arcuate and flattened. Xotch ofthefifth ventral segment parabolic. Length 35mm.

Female: Differs from the male inbeing smaller, antenna; not reaching thetips oftheelytra, prothoraxsimilar tothat of C. splendidumLee.,not transversely rugose at center but densely finely punctured, and slightly rugosetowardthesides. Elytra withtwoinconspicuoustransversebands
ofavioletshade, onejust in frontand theotherjustbackof the middle.
Posteriorfemoraslightlyarcuate. Posteriortibieenearly straight. Length 28
