ABSTRAK
Skripsi ini berjudul PERANAN KATEKESE DALAM PENGEMBANGAN IMAN ORANG MUDA KATOLIK SAHABAT CANOSSA DI WILAYAH YOGYAKARTA. Penulis memilih judul ini bermula dari keprihatinan penulis akan penurunan iman orang muda Katolik sahabat Canossa di wilayah Yogyakarta. Hal ini terlihat dari menurunnya iman orang muda Katolik sahabat Canossa di wilayah Yogyakarta. Penulis menemukan fenomena orang muda Katolik sahabat Canossa yang mengalami penurunan iman atau bahkan mereka mudah untuk terjerumus dalam hal-hal yang kurang baik, seperti malas mengikuti perayaan Ekaristi dan kurangnya kesadaran diri untuk terlibat aktif mengikuti kegiatan-kegiatan menggereja baik di paroki maupun di lingkungan. Padahal Gereja menyadari bahwa orang muda Katolik memiliki peran penting dalam Gereja karena orang muda Katolik adalah harapan Gereja masa kini dan masa depan. Oleh sebab itu, orang muda Katolik perlu memiliki kesadaran dalam diri untuk terlibat dalam mengikuti kegiatan menggereja. Salah satunya terlibat mengikuti kegiatan katekese orang muda Katolik. Permasalahan pokok dalam skripsi ini yaitu bagaimana peranan katekese dalam pengembangan iman orang muda Katolik sahabat Canossa di wilayah Yogyakarta? Untuk mengetahui peranan katekese dalam pengembangan iman orang muda Katolik sahabat Canossa, maka penulis melakukan penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis. Penulis mengambil data secara langsung di lapangan melalui observasi, studi dokumen, dan wawancara terstruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar orang muda Katolik sahabat Canossa di wilayah Yogyakarta sudah memiliki kesadaran diri untuk terlibat aktif mengikuti kegiatan katekese. Penulis melihat bahwa katekese yang dilakukan orang muda Katolik sahabat Canossa terdiri dari berbagai dimensi. Salah satu katekese diantaranya, yang membantu orang muda dalam pengembangan iman adalah katekese Shared Christian Praxis (SCP), namun katekese Shared Christian Praxis kurang maksimal dilakukan. Oleh sebab itu, penulis mengusulkan katekese Shared Christian Praxis sebagai salah satu program yang perlu ditingkat karena membantu orang muda dalam pengembangan iman.

ABSTRACT
This undergraduate thesis is entitled ROLE OF CATECHESSES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE FAITH OF CATHOLIC YOUTH OF CANOSSA FRIENDS IN YOGYAKARTA AREA. The author chose this title based on the author's concern about the decline in the faith of the Catholic young of Canossa friends in the Yogyakarta area. This can be seen from the decline in the faith of the Catholic young of Canossa friends in the Yogyakarta area. The author found the phenomenon of Catholics young, of Canossa friends, have experienced a decline in their faith or even they were easy to fall into bad things, such as being lazy to attend the Eucharist celebration and lack of self-awareness to be actively involved in church activities both in the parish and in the community . In fact, the Church realizes that Catholics young have an important role in the Church because Catholics young are the hope of the Church for the present and the future. Therefore, young Catholics need to have self-awareness to be involved in participating in church activities. One of the activities is involving in catechesis activities for Catholics young. The main problem in this undergraduate thesis is what is the role of catechesis in developing the faith of the Catholics young of Canossa's friends in the Yogyakarta area? To find out the role of catechesis in developing the faith of Catholic young of Canossa friends, the authors conducted this qualitative research using a descriptive analytical method. The author took data directly in the field through observation, document study, and structured interviews. The results showed that most of the Catholics young of Canossa’s friends in the Yogyakarta already had self-awareness to be actively involved in catechesis activities. The author sees that the catechesis carried out by the Catholics young of Canossa’s friends consists of various dimensions. One of them, which helps young people in developing their faith, is Shared Christian Praxis (SCP), but the Shared Christian Praxis is not carried out optimally.
Therefore, the author proposed the Shared Christian Praxis catechesis as one the program that needs to be improved because it helps young people in developing faith.
