Free Grade Recording and Evaluation Software

"GradeMaster" is a computer program for recording and statistically evaluating the collection of measuring instruments (homework, quizzes, exams, projects, etc.) typically generated as part of teaching a class. The object of the software is to increase objectivity, consistency and productivity in the student evaluation process. "GradeMaster" is implemented as an add-in to Microsoft Excel that automates many of the grade evaluation functions. It is very easy to use and no Excel fluency is required.

"GradeMaster" was developed over the past six years by an Alfred University faculty member and has been extensively tested for stability, accuracy and functionality. Further development of the software requires "beta" testing by college level instructors therefore faculty from Alfred University and Alfred State College are being solicited. The beta software will be functional for a period of 1 year and then expire (all records, statistics and graphs will remain available).

If you are interested in using "GradeMaster", please email Steve at [email protected] for a copy.

There will be a short "Quick Start" training session at 1:00 on Friday, August 25th in Seidlin Annex Computer Lab (room 107) for those who wish to attend.
