Mark McFadden named Director of CDC
I am pleased to announce that F. Mark McFadden has been appointed Director of the Career Development Center. Mark has served as acting director since April of 2006.
In the past year Mark has been elected President of the Middle Atlantic Career Counseling Association.
MACCA also selected him as Outstanding Member of the Year in 2003 and 2004, and he won the Ross Narghang Award for Outstanding Dedication and Continued Commitment to MACCA in 2005.
Regionally, he's served as secretary to the Rochester Area Career Development Association. Mark has also been quite active on campus; students selected him for the Alfie award for oustanding staff contribution to student life in 2004 and he was selected the outstanding administrator in student affairs division that same year. Mark also coordinates the Children's Learning Initiative, a cooperative effort involving many faculty, staff and students across campus to facilitate educational and peer mentored opportunities for disadvantaged area middle-school children.
Through all this, he continues to run an
excellent career development center that is effective for students, alumni and employers.
Please join me in congratulating Mark McFadden.
