What's New in Windows 10 & Office 2016?

If you are receiving a new computer from ITS this summer, it will come with Windows 10 and Office 2016. The attached documents highlight some of the new features.

Handshake is coming to Alfred University!

Great News! Alfred University has partnered with HANDSHAKE, a modern career development platform, to replace our current system, Saxon JobLink, and be your one-stop-shop for launching your career.

Handshake offers new features, enabling you to:

* Access personalized job recommendations based on your major and interests

* Register for Career Fairs

* Manage on-campus interviews with top companies

* Schedule appointments with your career counselors

The Career Development Center will preload student profiles. Students will receive an email and will be able to access Handshake accounts beginning on or before June 30.

For those of you that currently have Saxon JobLink profiles - HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO BEFORE June 30: If you currently have documents (resumes, cover letters, etc.) in your Saxon JobLink profile, then please log in and save them to a personal device. Once you have saved your documents you are welcome to delete them from Saxon JobLink and save them to your Handshake profile. We have downloaded all resumes from Saxon JobLink, just in case.

The Art Force 5 team is looking for a 6th member. The team has numerous engagements in Rochester this summer but needs a 6th member to be active in the outreach while also driving a University vehicle back and forth from Alfred with 3 non-licensed members and the program supplies.
