From the Desk of the Chancellor Alumni career success

Oct. 22, 2014

One of the most reliable measures of the impact of any university is the career success of alumni. So I was very pleased to learn that IUPUI graduates accounted for nearly one out of five finalists last week at the Junior Achievement of Central Indiana 100 Best and Brightest recognition.

Junior Achievement selected 10 professionals under the age of 40 for each of 10 career categories.

All were honored as “up-and-coming talent and the next generation of leaders in the community.”

From that group, the top achiever in each category was named, based on professional accomplishments, civic contributions, character and leadership qualities.

One of the 10 winners was Donetta Gee-Weiler -- a graduate of the IU School of Nursing. Donetta is employed in Women’s and Children’s Services at Community Health Network.

Here are the remaining IUPUI alumni among the 100 finalists for the Junior Achievement 2014 Best and Brightest:

Molly Dagon, Indianapolis Community Court and Indianapolis Veterans Treatment Court, IU School of Liberal Arts.

Jeffrey O’Brien, WellPoint, Kelley School of Business.
