General Description of Research Data

Indonesia's human resources, with one of the ideals from the preamble of the 1945 constitution, such as paragraph 4 "intellectual life of the nation" as a pledge of independence. From the above data, the student writes the word "cause" for the word "is" and the word "factor" for "more", which should be written with "factors". In this part, the student makes a mistake using a verb in the past tense and the wrong verb after a plural noun.

The student is wrong to write the word "country" after "many" which should be written by "countries" because it is the plural noun. There is only one mistake in this part after which the student wrote "teacher". number", because this word is indicated to the plural noun as what the student should write "teachers". give them five questions related to the inflectional affects and writing. From the data above, one student said that he did not have the main problem did not know what he faced, one student said about the complicated problem encountered in using inflectional attachment, one student said about unconsciousness and the other said that there are too many problems in using inflectional affixes.

Discussion

Based on the data, the first error commonly found in students' writing production is the use of {–ed}, and the second is the use of {–s}, and the third is the use of {–es}. Therefore, due to the error data that the third semester students have made above, it can be assumed that the students are expected to increase their knowledge about the type of inflectional affixes and the way to use them. Based on the result of the data analysis, the researcher will eagerly infer this research that there are still many kinds of errors in the use of inflectional affixes by the third semester students of the English department of STAIN Metro, such as third semester students. semester of the English education study in STAIN lacks knowledge about inflectional affixes and the nature of it and the reasons why the third semester students still make the mistakes of using inflectional affixes because they find it difficult to determine which is the correct affix for that word , they want, there are too many words in the paragraph and it is difficult to analyze one by one, and sometimes the mistakes come unconsciously.

The students who do not understand the inflectional affix are supposed to enrich not only their writing comprehension but also their accuracy to avoid writing mistakes. Meanwhile, the students who can write well, especially in using inflectional affixes, are expected to maintain their comprehension. The teacher should give a clear explanation about inflectional affix, its use, and the way to use it deep in the teaching process to reduce students' unfamiliarity with inflectional affix.
