OVERLOAD AKIBAT BEBAN BERLEBIH

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemasangan trafo distribusi sebagai solusi mengatasi masalah beban lebih trafo akibat beban berlebih. Kelebihan beban pada trafo distribusi merupakan permasalahan yang sering terjadi dalam pendistribusian tenaga listrik, terutama ketika beban listrik melebihi kapasitas trafo. Kelebihan beban pada trafo distribusi dapat menyebabkan berkurangnya umur pemakaian bahkan kerusakan pada peralatan listrik yang pada akhirnya dapat mengganggu pasokan listrik. Adapun metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan melakukan perhitungan matematis. Hasilnya, pembebanan transformator Abe- 128 sebelum penyisipan Trafo sebesar 84.42% dengan kapasitas beban sebesar 168.84 kVA sedangkan sesudah pemasangan transformator sisipan adalah 75,28 % dengan kapasitas beban sebesar 150,567 kVA dengan kapasitas trafo 100 kVA.

Dengan penempatan trafo distribusi yang tepat, kelebihan beban dapat dibagi secara merata antar trafo, sehingga mengurangi risiko kelebihan beban pada satu trafo. Selain itu, pemantauan dan pengendalian beban distribusi yang tepat juga merupakan faktor penting dalam mengelola beban berlebih transformator.

Dengan demikian, dapat meningkatkan keandalan dan efisiensi distribusi listrik serta mengurangi risiko gangguan pasokan listrik ke pelanggan.

PENDAHULUA N

Dalam sistem distribusi listrik, transformator distribusi memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam mentransformasikan tegangan tinggi dari gardu

induk menjadi tegangan rendah yang sesuai untuk digunakan oleh pelanggan. Salah satu masalah yang sering dihadapi dalam distribusi

listrik adalah overload pada transformator distribusi.

Apabila transformator kelebihan beban atau overload maka dapat mengakibatkan kerugian seperti pendistribusian energi listrik dapat

terhambat, sebab umur transformator akan menurun dan akan rusak akibat panas berlebihan, sehingga untuk ke depannya harus

dilakukan perbaikan. Sebaliknya, apabila transformator yang memiliki kapasitas besar namun pembebanan terlalu sedikit, maka PT. PLN

(Persero) akan mengalami kerugian dari segi ekonomis.
