To investigate the adequacy of the generic structure of the narrative text of students of the sixth semester of the English department of STAIN Ponorogo. Finding students' mistakes in writing, especially in editing the generic structure of the composition of students of the sixth semester of the department of English education STAIN Ponorogo.
The reason this location was chosen is that the researcher wants to know to what extent the generic structure that students use when writing narrative texts is appropriate. The data source in this study consisted of the written narrative texts obtained from the test conducted by 30 students of the sixth semester of the TIA of English Education. section of STAIN Ponorogo which was taken using cluster sampling technique.
