ABSTRACT
Latifia Khoirunnisa. 181230019. 2022. The Effectiveness of Using Google Docs in Students Collaborative Writing in Writing Recount Text. A Quasi- Experimental Research at 8th Grade in MTsN 2 Kab. Serang).
This research aims 1) To find out the student’s writing ability on recount text 2) To find out how the implementation of using Google Docs in collaborative writing in writing recount text 3) To find out the effectiveness of using Google Docs in student collaborative writing in writing recount text. This research uses a quasi-experimental method by taking the population of class VIII MTsN 2 Serang which consists of 64 students as samples. The researcher chose class VIII 2 as the experimental class using Google Docs and class VIII 1 as the control class without using it. The data were collected using pre-test and post-test and then analyzed by t-test. Based on the results of this study, it shows that the mean score in the experimental class for the pre-test is 64,34 and the post-test is 83,96 while the mean score in the control class for the pre- test is 55,06 and the post-test is 68, 46 with the result value of to is 7, 63 which is greater than the ttable value of 5% = 1.99. The results of the effect size show that there is a 48% effect which is predicated as a large effect. This means that there is a significant effectiveness of using Google Docs in collaborative writing of students in writing recount text.

A BRIEF BIOGRAPHY
The researchernname is Latifia Khoirunnisa, she wassborn in Serang on January 5, 2000. The first child of the couple, Abay Mulyadi and Aas Amaiyah . Currently the author resides in Kalumpang Village, RT : 002\ RW : 001, Kalumpang Village, Padarincang District, Serang Regency, Banten.
The formal education that has been taken is SD Negeri Padarincang 1 graduated in 2012 , in the same year the author continued her education at MTS IBS Ardaniah in Taktakan-Serang graduated in 2015 , and then the author continued her education at MA Al- Khairiyah Rancaranji Padarincang with major IPA and graduated in 2018 , and in the same year the author enrolled at the Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten State Islamic University by majoring in the English Education Department.
During college, the author was active in one of the campus organizations, namely the Association of English Student in 2019-2020, and participated in an external organization, namely PMII in 2018 until now, and was active in the organization literacy youth community (Journalism).
