ANALYZING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF TRAINING PROGRAM IN ROOM DIVISION ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE

The hotel industry in Jakarta is growing rapidly every year, according to Statistics by BPS from 2007-2013.This rapid hotel growth increased demand of hotel employees with hotel qualification that became a challenge for the employers. Employers now feel worried to recruit sufficient of employees that are qualified to fill the open positions. One of the solutions is to give training, as training can increase the efficiency and effectiveness of both employees and the company. The data that are used in this research are quantitative data are collected through questionnaires that were distributed at Hotel X in Jakarta and then processed using SPSS software, with simple linear regression formula to test the hypothesis.

The finding of the research has found that effective training programs have a significant positive impact towards employee performance.
