Workload 1. Lectures: 3 x 50 = 150 minutes (2.5 hours) per week.

2. Exercises and Assignments: 3 x 60 = 180 minutes (3 hours) per week.

3. Private study: 3 x 60 = 180 minutes (3 hours) per week.

A student must have attended at least 80% of the lectures to sit in the exams.

Course learning outcome Designing lesson plan for integrated science by using various teaching model

Designing lesson plan for integrated science by using teaching strategy which are emphasizing on HOT skill and ability to solve problems using NOS approach and IT

Conducting micro teaching using integrated science lesson plan using lesson study

Content This course covers the following three main topics:

1) Curriculum; objectives and SKL IPA SMP, identification of science learning problems, 2) Learning strategies; integrated science learning principles, integrated science learning characteristics, science learning approaches and methods, integrated science learning models (K-2013), 3) learning design; Types of material integration (integrated,

connected, share, webbed), development of IPKD learning indicators, 4) Teaching materials; essential concept map based on KD IPA SMP

Activities

Week 1 Introduction: course orientation and regulations W2 Group discussion about aim, approach, and science

teaching method in junior secondary level according to curriculum 2007 and curriculum 2013

W3 Group discussion and Presenting the result of discussion about the characteristic of integrated science teaching.

W4 Group discussion and presenting the result of discussion regarding the science teaching model according to curriculum 2013

W5 Analyzing the examples of integrated science lesson plan

W6 Group discussion about the result of analyzing core competence and basic competence

W7 Group discussion about the core competence and basic competence of grade VII, VIII, IX and determining the science integration.

W8 Group discussion about learning indicator according to the basic competence

W9 Designing lesson plan using appropriate approach, method, and model.

W10 Identifying essential concepts

W11 Developing appropriate assessment according to basic competence
