It was moved by Vice President Bailey that the Nati~nal Board of Trustees re.commend the adoption of the proposed ~ndment of Article III, Section

of the tlational oonstitution submitted by the Oklahoma Associa- tion.

It

reads as follows:

"Any male student not·over 25 years of age who is regularly en- rolled in an all~day or day-unit class in vocational agriculture is entitled to become an active member of any chartered F.F.A.

chapter .upon receiving a majority.vote ot the chapter membership at any local chapter meeting. A member may retain his active membership continuously throughout his entire high school career and tor three years after the first national convention tollowing

gra~uation from, or leaving·high school; or until he may become 21.years ot age, whichever length of time is .. greater • . No individual however may retain his active membersnip beyond his 25th birthday-."

It was recommended that a letter be. sent to the States asking t~at

delegates to.the Victory Convention wear the official. l!'.F.A. jacket.

A letter trom Mr. Warren G. Weiler ot Ohio was read. It was the sense of the group that it wiil be more appropriate to have an ope~1ng prayer at .. :F·•F .A. me.etings, rather than adding a statement about God in the opening ceremony.
