The Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis is a multi-department law school in an urban setting that is uniquely suited to its specific missions. In 1969, the Faculty of Law offered a regular day program for the first time.

Admission

The applicant must request that a Law School Data Collection Service (LSDAS) report containing the applicant's LSAT scores, a summary of his or her transcripts, and information from the LSDAS registration form be provided to the law school. No law school application will be processed unless accompanied by the Law School Application Matching Form found in each applicant's LSATILSDAS registration packet.

Advance Payment

A transcript that shows a preponderance of pass/fail grades significantly reduces an applicant's chances of admission to law school. Members of the Bar and persons ineligible for regular admission may register as auditors for courses, provided the School of Law is able to accommodate all regularly admitted students who wish to register for credit.

Admission Selection Process

Relative standing in a class where such information is available is of great help to the admissions subcommittee in evaluating a candidate's GP A. Finally, the admissions subcommittee recognizes that the candidate's contribution to the law school and ultimately to the legal profession cannot be measured by academic performance alone. performance in the first year.

Admission with Advanced Standing

Particular attention will be paid to the files of applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds or those representing groups not previously well represented in the legal profession. However, the subcommittee seeks candidates with a variety of backgrounds and experiences to ensure diversity in the class and encourage the interplay of ideas and exchange of views that Jaw is concerned with.
