WIRANTO 2021. " The Effect of Certified Teacher and Non-Certified Teacher in English Teaching and Learning Process". English Education Thesis Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Muhammadiyah University Makassar (supervised by Erwin Akib and Hj. Ilmiah).

The purpose of this research aimed to find out the effect of teacher certification in teaching and learning process. This research used a quantitative descriptive method. The subject of this research were two English teacher at SMP Negeri 2 Marioriwawo.

The result of this research showed there were some different aspects that affected by teacher certification in teaching and learning process. Those are teaching method, when certified focused on teacher-student interactive method while non- certified teacher focused on teacher centered method. In teaching style certified teacher used facilitator and delegator and for certified non-certified teacher used demonstrator and formal authority. In addition for professionalism aspects, certified teacher has more value than non-certified teacher. The certified teacher’ students had higher average score than non-certified teacher, so it can be concluded that the ways of certified teacher and non certified teacher taught their students were different.

Certified teacher focused how to make student comfortable while non-cerified teacher focused on delivering the material that was monotone for her students.

WIRANTO 2021. “Pengaruh Guru Bersertifikat Dan Guru Tidak Bersertifikat Dalam Proses Belajar Mengajar Bahasa Inggris”. Skripsi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar (dibimbing oleh Erwin Akib dan Hj. Ilmiah)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh sertifikasi guru dalam proses belajar mengajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dua orang guru bahasa Inggris di SMP Negeri 2 Marioriwawo.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan ada beberapa aspek yang berbeda yang dipengaruhi oleh sertifikasi guru dalam proses belajar mengajar. Yaitu metode pengajaran, ketika bersertifikat berfokus pada metode interaksi guru-siswa sedangkan guru yang tidak bersertifikat berfokus pada metode yang berpusat pada guru. Dalam gaya mengajar guru bersertifikat menggunakan fasilitator dan delegator dan untuk guru bersertifikat non-sertifikasi menggunakan demonstrator dan otoritas formal.

Selain dari aspek profesionalisme, guru bersertifikat memiliki nilai lebih dibandingkan guru tidak bersertifikat. Siswa guru bersertifikat memiliki nilai rata-rata yang lebih tinggi daripada guru tidak bersertifikat, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa cara guru bersertifikat dan guru tidak bersertifikat mengajar siswanya berbeda. Guru bersertifikat berfokus pada bagaimana membuat siswa nyaman sedangkan guru bersertifikat berfokus pada penyampaian materi yang monoton bagi siswanya.
