Discussion
There is no topic in students' thesis writing due to an error in the use of a close marker. When writing the diploma thesis, there was an error in the use of the subject, as the subject, which should be in the noun form, is in the adjective form. The complement in the form of a noun experiences incorrect usage, since the noun in singular writing must be plural.
Based on the research conducted on the university thesis of the students of the IAIN Metro Department of English, the researcher concludes that the most dominant elements are the Basic Word Order in the presentation of the university thesis of the graduate students and the difficulty. It was supported by the researcher's analysis who obtained 71% for SVC elements, and 29% for SVO elements. Therefore, the most dominant elements in the university thesis presentation among 2017 IAIN Metro Student English Department are SVC elements.
The students' difficulties in introducing the bachelor's thesis on the students' final exam was supported by the analysis that the researcher who got. There is no topic in the writing of the student in the thesis due to an error in the use of a near marker. In the thesis writing, there is an error in using the object, because the object, which should be a noun, is in the form of an adjective.
The complement in the form of the noun experiences misuse, because the noun must be plural in singular writing.
