KCPC is a healthy and growing church through the dedication of small group leaders to small group members. Therefore, this project aims to address this problem and multiply small group leaders of the generation. The first objective was to assess the leadership training knowledge of small group leaders at KCPC.

Small group members are willing to participate as part of the local church. One of the different basic forms of community in the church is the small group. The natural and simple demonstration of God's common image for humanity is the gathering of the small group. 2.

One of the New Testament models for small group ministry is the small groups of the early church. Eight weeks of training for the spiritual growth of small group leaders began in the first week of January. The first is the father's heart, one of the most important points for a small group leader.

Ten small group leaders were interviewed, including a coordinator who helps small groups. A final strength is the detailed definition of the small group leader role.

Manuscript: “Church, Community”

The church is a people, not a building

Jesus is with his disciples and asks, "Who do you say that I am?" Peter gave a good answer to His question. Jesus makes his first declarations about the church after Peter's confession in Matthew 16:18: "And I say unto thee that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." God will build the church on the "rock", but that rock is not Peter.

The church is a gathering of people who confess that God is the Christ, the Son of the living God.

The church is the body of Jesus

The church is one diverse body

1 Corinthians 12:27 “You are the body of Christ, every part of it.” Everyone in the community is part of the body, which means that each of you is an arm, leg, nose or shoulder of Jesus. When the brain gives commands, the hands and feet move because they are connected. When Jesus Christ, the head of the church, commands her to go, the whole body begins to move.

1 Corinthians 12:12 says, "Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts are one body, so is Christ." The Church is diverse, but it is one body. 1 Corinthians 12:26 says, “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. When our stomach hurts, our whole body hurts. But we have hope that it is not the world that hates Jesus, but the people who believe in Jesus.

If we, the Church, are transformed to show the light of Jesus, we have hope for the coming revival. Jesus says in Matthew 16:18, "But I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it."

Manuscript: “Breaking the Bread”

It's not just playing or having fun together, but a community where people share their hearts. 1 Corinthians 12:27 says, "Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it." If we are the body of Christ, we are connected to the community. Therefore, when the cubs came to the woman, she kept walking backwards to avoid touching them.

In Acts 2:46, Luke says, “Every day they met in the temple courts. They broke bread and ate together with a joyful and sincere heart." The people of the early church struggled day after day to gather in the temple, break bread at home, and eat with joy and sincerity. No one claimed any of their possessions as his, but they shared all they had.” What do you do before the explosive power of God comes to the community.

God made the community one in heart and mind for the sake of the kingdom of God. It is not just a gathering of the same people, but different people from different backgrounds.

Outline “The Church’s Reason for Existence”

  • Spiritual Training
  • Prayer
  • The way of the cross
  • Biblical Evidence of Community

To preach the gospel to the ends of the earth is the church's most important duty to the world. As members of the church, everyone in the church has a gift to carry out this mission. At the end of the course, participants will be able to train small group management.

Christ is the head of the church, and the saints are the body attached to the head, and each is connected by every joint. The second thing to look at is the relationship between the owner and the members of the church. Thus, the vertical relationship with God is the most important aspect of the church community.

The system of total obedience to the will of Christ in the context of union with Christ is a very unique characteristic of the church community. The relationship between people within the church community is like an organic connection between joints.

The History of Community

The Origin of Community in the Old Testament

Abraham’s Community in the Old Testament

Abraham,” and on that day he gave his descendants the border of Egypt to the south and the Euphrates valley to the north.

Israel’s Wilderness Community Beginning with the Exodus

His son Isaac was born, not his servant, and Abraham became an important figure in the Old Testament who walked with God as the father of faith.

The First Community 1. The First Community, Adam and Eve

The Purpose of the First Community

The purpose of the community is to actively establish and expand the kingdom of God in the world. And the Lord God commanded the man: "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, because if you eat from it you will surely die" (Gen 2:16,17). The purpose of Adam and Eve's family community was to ward off Satan and to enjoy koinonia in the Lord.

Obedience to God's word and fellowship among members is an important purpose of the fellowship.

Causes and Consequences of the Destruction of the First Community

In this way, when the community of the church is lost, the relationship between the members of the community changes to authority. It changes from an attitude of love and service to one of self-assertion and dominance. But after the fall, the earth brought forth thorns and thistles and people had to live in fierce competition in such an environment.

The environment sometimes claimed human lives through natural disasters, and humans polluted and destroyed nature in the name of development.

The Early Community in Acts 1. Establishment of the Early Church

  • Members of the Early Church
  • The Appearance of the Church
  • The Ecclesiology of the Gospel of Matthew
  • Required Leadership Characteristics for Small Group Leaders

They played an important role in spreading the gospel and missions among the Gentiles in the Acts of the Apostles. In Acts 2:37-47 we can see the content of the meetings of the first church. From the day of Pentecost in the Acts of the Apostles, the operation of the Holy Spirit was the dominant reality in the life of the early Christian community, and the Holy Spirit was the source of all guidance.

The early Christian community in the book of Acts never made an important decision without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Without the help of the Holy Spirit, they never began the work of ministry and evangelism for the church community. It can also be seen that all the leaders of the early Christian community in Jerusalem in the book of Acts were filled with the Holy Spirit.

Teaching the Word and hearing the Word were the most important things in the lives of the early ones. When they prayed, they were filled with the Holy Spirit and through prayer they overcame the crises of the church.

Being a Good Small Group Leader 1. Identity of a Small Group Leader

Three Core Values for Small Group Ministry

A small group leader must believe that the Holy Spirit can make a powerful impact in your life. The Seven Habits of Good Small Group Leaders (excerpted from How to Be a Great Cell Group Trainer1). Prayer: Small group members can experience the power of small group leader prayer.

Encouragement refreshes small group members in the midst of complex realities and motivates them to follow God. You are highly recommended to have the courage to ask forgiveness from your small group members. The ultimate goal of the small group leader is to help the small group members become more like Jesus.

The small group leader must have a time to continue praying together with the small group members in order to fulfill God's vision for the small group. The spirituality of the small group leader determines the spiritual level of your small group.

Strategies for Vitalizing a Small Group 1. Three Essentials for a Successful Small Group Meeting

  • Active Participation of Small Group Members
  • Word-Centered Sharing
  • Focus on Life Change, not Knowledge Exchange
  • Necessary Attitudes for Sharing
  • Wise Auxiliary Questions
  • Asking Good Questions
  • Different forms of open-ended questions
  • The Art of Listening
  • Small Group Prayer Meeting
  • Share prayer requests
  • Lead the members to earnestly pray for each other
  • Lead in fervent prayer for prayer requests

The active participation of small group members is the main secret of small group vitalization. Have small group members sit across from each other to encourage them to actively share their thoughts and emotions. Reading, listening, meditating and sharing God's Word should be the main driver to catalyze your small group meeting.

As the small group leader listens carefully to the other people, they begin to open their hearts. Therefore, you should keep an eye on the non-verbal expressions of your small group members. Additionally, respond to small group members' stories with positive words, such as, "That's right, that's how it is."

Small group leaders should approach the problems of small group members by suggesting prayer or fasting if necessary. Most small group meetings will be filled with spiritual energy as evangelism becomes the primary mission of small group meetings.
