Somewhere along the line in the life of WSBC, she moved away from a biblical view of the family. The first aim was to accurately assess the WSBC's understanding of the family and the individual roles of each family member. As each family member fulfills his/her unique role, he/she brings glory to the Father.
Colossians 3:18-21, which is at the center of the letter, is saturated with this Christ-dominant theme, which includes several expressions related to the Lord. In addition to this Christocentric theme, the instructions in Colossians suggest that it should be a constant behavior in the life of the family. John MacArthur notes that "the present imperative hupakoueta (be obedient) requires constant obedience."49.
And this Word is the good news that I preached to you." The Bible gives the message of the church which is the Gospel. Preaching is central to this service project because of how preaching works in the human heart. The final element of the project was the invitation to five individuals to help evaluate the sermon series.
It is the Holy Spirit who implements the author's specific purpose in people's lives. One can see this ministry of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament, where the Spirit empowered people for special service. The role of the Holy Spirit is important not only in the life of the preacher, but also in the preparation of the preacher.
One of the ways God's Spirit helps us is to understand God's Word. The Bible speaks of the daily guidance of the Holy Spirit that is essential in the preacher's life. Finally, the role of the Holy Spirit is significant in the preaching of the Word of God by the preacher.
Ways to make ministry a reality in the life of the church stem from the pulpit. A third strength of this ministry project was the careful assessment of the biblical understanding of the family among members of WSBC. As a result, not everyone was able to answer all the questions in the survey.
Parents need wisdom and discernment to bring up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

SERMON SERIES
I'm not doing that.” You and I would have absolutely no chance of going to heaven. Paul does not say to the wife, "Submit to your husband because he is the husband." He does not say, "You submit to your husband because he is the boss." He doesn't say.
He says: "Submit to your husband, because this is what God wants." "That's what's right." ILL= There is a saying in the Military: "You salute the uniform, not the one in uniform". We are in the middle of a series called "God's Glory at Home." And today we are looking at men.
What this literally says is: "You husbands continue to love your wives and stop being bitter towards them.". There is the word 'Phileo'. And it refers to the kind of emotional affection that can come or go. We look at our wife and say, "We want you to meet our needs." And eventually we start to understand, "You know what, I'll be much better off if instead of trying to satisfy my needs, I'll meet her needs."
Just pretend your marriage was the kind of marriage where in every situation you would always ask this question, "What is the most loving thing to do?" And then you did it. Today we are talking to young people, "children." But God says that "children are to be honored." And children, as you relate to your parents, the question you should be asking all the time is, "What is the honorable thing to do?". I want you to listen to what they have to say.” "Listen to your parents." You cannot obey someone you do not listen to.
Let me teach you how to pull her hair." You don't need to learn that. Paul says, "Unless your parents ask you to do something that's unbiblical, or unethical, or ungodly, or immoral." Paul says, " You must obey your parents." That's why the Bible says, "You must obey your parents in all things."
God says, "You just encourage your children to find my will for their lives and fulfill that will for my glory." Any parent will primarily be a positive influence on their children or a negative influence on their children. Paul said this to parents in Ephesians 6:4 = "And fathers, provoke not your children to anger, but bring them up in the instruction and admonition of the Lord."
