Objectives: This course covers the basic principles, objectives and types of tools and machines used in harvesting, threshing, sorting, grading, material handling, drying, milling, size reduction, storage and warehousing. Changes in the
physical characteristics of materials due to post-harvest handling techniques are also reviewed in depth, especially for food products
Knowledge: familiarity with harvesting, threshing, sorting, grading, material handling, drying, milling, size reduction, storage and warehousing
Skills: cognitive – Apply the basic principles, objectives and types of tools and machines used in harvesting, threshing, sorting, grading, material handling, drying, milling, size reduction, storage and warehousing. Phsycomotoric - practical abilities to harvesting, threshing, sorting, grading, material handling, drying, milling, size reduction, storage and warehousing
