I. COURSE LEARNING OUTCOME:
1. Having a profound understanding of the basic concepts of English.
2. Participate successfully in spontaneous English conversational exchange.
3. Work independently in answering questions related to grammar correctly.
4. Demonstrate the oral and written skills in communicating knowledge about English instruction 5. Work in groups in creating a short movie about Islamic values by using English language.
II. COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is intended to make students proficient in oral and written English in a daily / general context. All teaching-learning activities are conducted through lecturing, classroom discussion, small group discussion, student presentation and feedback.
III. EVALUATION INDEX
Evaluation Criteria: 1. Assessment uses Norma Reference Assessment, namely an assessment based on competency achievement by referring to the average achievement of the study group/class;
2. Attendance of at least 80% (to be able to take the exam) Evaluation Component
and Weight: 1. Class Activities (30%). Class activities include deep student activities - Doing presentations';
- Engage in discussions and questions and answers actively and constructively;
- Provide additional information or ideas on the main points of study;
2. Assignments (20%)
3. Middle Examination (20%)
- Answering questions related to the materials that have been discussed previously 4. Final Examination (50%)
- Creating short movies about Islamic values by using English language in group Grading Rubrics Class Activities:
-80-100: actively involved in Class activities and make a significant contribution to Learning; demonstrate mastery of the material accompanied by relevant additional resources/knowledge
-60-79: actively involved in Class activities and make a positive contribution to Learning; demonstrate mastery of the material without being accompanied by additional relevant sources/knowledge;
-40-59: actively involved in Class activities and make a sufficient contribution to Learning; demonstrate sufficient understanding of material;
-20-39: not actively involved in class activities and does not make a positive contribution to learning; show weak mastery of the material;
-0-19: not actively involved and does not show effort in mastering the material/minimum competence.

C 40-59: responded to the test with a large number of (40-50%) data errors; D 20-39: responds to test with very large data errors (50-60%);
E 0-19: respond to exam questions with predominant errors (more than 60%).
