In the name of ﷲ, the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful, all praise to be Allah for the strengths and His blessing for the researcher in completing this skripsi entitled The Correlation between Students’ Creativity and their Achievement in Writing Descriptive Text at Tenth Grade of SMK Negeri 4 Tanjungpinang. This skripsi will be presented to English Language Education Study Program of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji Tanjungpinang as a partial fulfillment of the requirements for S1 degree.

Peace and salutation always be given to our prophet ﷺ ﷴ who has guided us from the darkness to the lightness. However, this skripsi will never exist without any support, encouragement and guidance from several dedicated people. In this opportunity, the researcher intends to address her gratitude and respect to all parties to these following names:

1. Dr. Agung Dhamar Syakti, S.Pi, DEA. as the Rector of Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji Tanjungpinang.

2. Assist. Prof. Satria Agust, S.S., M.Pd. as the Dean of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education.

3. Assist. Prof. Gatot Subroto, S.S., M.Pd. as the first Vice Dean of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, and also researcher’s lecturer who always giving support, cheering her up, and spending time to give advices during college period.

4. Assist. Prof. Dewi Nopita, S.Pd., M.Pd. as the Head of English Education Study Program, researchers’ academic advisor, and researcher’s first advisor, for her

7. Sulasmi, S.Pd., M.M. as the headmaster of SMK Negeri 4 Tanjungpinang who give permission to researcher in conducting her research.

8. Dea Aisyah, S.Pd. as the English teacher and also researcher’s senior in ESA who always give information and accompany researcher to do her research in the class.

9. X RPL 1 class of SMK Negeri 4 Tanjungpinang who were willing to spend their time as the sample in this research.
