After a series of conferences and seminars, the idea of Islamic economics was developed from theory to practice, but practice preceded theory. In 1983, the International Islamic University, Malaysia, opened Kulliyah of Economics for the first time, offering three departments of Islamic Economics. In the same year, the International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan, opened the International Institute of Islamic Economics.

Interestingly, Europe is also participating in offering programs of Islamic economics with the United Kingdom as the pioneer. Apart from the practice of Islamic economics, the issue that needs further elaboration is the curriculum design for the study of Islamic economics at the university level. Therefore, it also proposed programs in the field of Islamic management, banking, finance and accounting to have some foundational courses on Islamic economics along with the Shari'ah based course.

In general, there is a consensus that the program of Islamic economics should contain knowledge/courses from various domains covering both modern discipline and Islamic heritage (alturâts al-Islâmiy). Nizam Barom, et al., Islamic Economics Education in Southeast Asian Universities, (Malaysia: CIE KENMS, 2013), xvi. The problems that should be solved during the preparation of such a curriculum relate primarily to the epistemology and teaching methodology of Islamic economics.

The reform is the fusion of these two educational systems through the integration of the Islamic worldview and the achievements of modernity.7 The impact of the previous spirits of Western civilization.

Curriculum Design

The finding of this research comes from the design of different curricula of postgraduate program in four countries consisting of eight universities, each of which has its own department of Islamic economics. Since each university has a different department of Islamic economics, the subject taught in each department varies accordingly. There are 3. specializations are: 1) Islamic finance and capital market specialization, 2) Islamic banking specialization and 3) Islamic economics specialization.

This course aims to enable students to combine the basic principles of knowledge, scientific reasoning and non-scientific one with the principles of scientific thinking in a scientific context and in Islam as the basis for critical insights to knowledge of To understand and develop Islam. economy. Imron, the lecture of Philosophy of Science is establishing discussion on how to derive Quran and Sunnah to concepts of Islamic Economics25. The philosophy of university education is to find, develop, innovate and disseminate knowledge in the fields of Islamic sciences, humanities and social science and technology in order to produce independent human resources, excellent, competitive and innovative.

This educational philosophy is applied through the three pillars of the academic program, consisting of: 1) strengthening Islamic sciences, which is pure but rare;. The principle of curriculum design used in the Master of Islamic Law at UIN Sunan Kalijaga is interconnective-integrative, transformative and multicultural paradigm. STEI Tazkia's Postgraduate Program Curriculum is designed based on the needs of business and industry, applicable and following the latest developments in Islamic Wealth Management, Islamic Accounting and Islamic Business and Management.

Sanrego (senior lecturer), the theory of Islamic wealth is the basis of Islamization for the master's program. On the MSc Islamic Banking and Finance, students must take 4 compulsory courses, all of which are Islamic banking and finance, including current issues of Islamic finance. The next step that the educators could do is to come up with new theory of Islamic economics based on their critics.

Hafiz Muhammad Yasin, director of IIIE and one of the lecturers of Islamic economics, for example, has successfully written a textbook on the Principle of Islamic Economics, where he came up with theories of Islamic economics such as supply and demand, distribution and consumption, development in Islam etc. In addition to the efforts of the institute to carry out the process of Islamization and integration, the Institute also published several works of the lecturer that deal with the new concept of Islamic economy. However, Turkey had its own history of Islamic civilization, so the development of the Islamic economy was derived from the history of the Ottoman Islamic economic system.

From this description, it is clear that the curriculum has been developed in accordance with the vision, mission and objectives and scope of Islamic economic universities for which they are the most universal form of balance of the world and the hereafter, in accordance with the requirements. of the Koran. Regarding the design of the curriculum that includes the vision and mission where the epistemological aspects are expressed, in most departments of Islamic economics they are clearly expressed, except in the State Islamic University Sunan Ampel and Sunan Kalijaga. Since the main problem facing Muslim scholars in economics all over the world is the construction of a solid and systematic concept of Islamic economics, our current program should focus on expanding the development of the Islamic concept.

However, this program cannot be executed unless it is based on correct and deep understanding of Islamic concepts from Islamic worldview.
