DEVELOPING ENGLISH LEARNING MATERIALS FOR STUDENTS OF HAJJ AND UMRAH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT (HUM) OF IAIN. This research focused on developing English learning materials for students of the Hajj and Umrah Management Department. The result of the validation shows that several aspects of the developed materials are correct according to the Aiken's V which is higher than 0.5.

After revising the product in accordance with the validator suggestions, it is concluded that the materials developed in this bachelor's thesis can be properly used for the Department of Hajj and Umrah Management. My beloved friends, whom I cannot tell one by one, who always play, stand and stay around. Thanks and all praise to Allah for all your blessings and your favor which is given with all your Mighty, the author can finish the bachelor thesis.

Developing English materials for HUM students will help them improve their English skills related to their field. According to the result of the interview with the HUM English lecturer on 13/12/2018, in daily studies, the students of this department do not think about English intensively and specifically, they learn the basics of English only as novices. In many cases, students feel that English has not had much impact on the possibilities of the department they are attending.

On the other hand, this department gets a chance to deal with the global world like when they let a team play in the field of management with other countries. The students of HUM should have a mind for English which will be their field of study (specific goal) and get related materials. With reference to TEFL within the Indonesian context, developing English material for HUM students is one of the crucial factors to introduce English for the specific purpose.

This research focused on the development of appropriate English teaching materials that meet the specific needs of students in the HUM department. Each unit of developed materials consists of: (a) connected text, (b) language learning, (c) tasks, (d) vocabulary and (e) answer key.

ELT in Islamic University must include Islamic values ​​to fortify the threat of negative influences in the global era. ELT should be linked with Islamic values ​​embedded in Muslim society to avoid problems such as missionaryism and westernization.8. 12 Hasan, "English Literary Studies: including Islamic Perspectives in Pedagogy Practice", The American Journal of Islamic Social Sciences 32:1.

In ancient times, materials development practitioners were either teachers with little experience of applied linguistics or applied linguists with little experience of teaching and learning. In line with the quote above, it is worth noting that material development upgrades existing material through processes in order to meet students' needs that are not met in the existing material. Input refers to the spoken, written and visual data that learners work with during the completion of a task.

From the quote above it is safe to say that tasks and activities in the learning process must be related to learning material. As a result of spatial and temporal separation between teachers and learners, assessment may provide the only indication of the student's progress in the learning process. 32.

Relevant Studies

YPUP includes concept map, objectives, sequence of materials, materials and worksheet in English and additional task.36 Furthermore, Suyadi had conducted his research in a state university in Jambi province for undergraduate accounting student. The findings revealed that accounting program students need specific material in English learning that has a close relationship with their department. On the other hand, Yunita and Pratiwi, who conducted research on primary school teacher education students at Yogyakarta State University, claimed that English is important especially in developing their knowledge in order to understand many references of which are written in English.38 Rohmah conducted her research in Marketing Department of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Bantul stated that students need English learning materials to support their future work which contain English expressions and answers, technical terms and simple business letters.39 However, Cahyaningsari and Saleh in their research developing English materials using English-Indonesian mixed song lyrics to learn vocabulary pointed out an important point that students need an engaging text for to guide them, because the school offers limited teaching facilities and media.

Based on the above results, it is worth noting that the learning materials needs of HUM students should include 4 basic English skills, related material to the department, include Islamic values, and use simple words to represent their level (intermediate ) to support.

The developed product was validated/assessed by three English teachers from TBI (tadris bahasa Inggris) from IAIN Metro. Yawisah suggested adding more materials on leadership and the difference between hajj and umrah to get more engagement. Madkur suggested adapting the illustrations to the topic, cleaning up the writing, font, spacing, and adding vocabulary corners in each unit to make the product reader-friendly.

The suggestions from the validators are very good, but not all suggestions can be used correctly in the product. The suggestions are great and acceptable, unless the addition of materials about the differences between hajj and umrah and also about the management itself. The product revision includes only the title of the coursebook to reach a larger audience, adapting the illustrations to the topic, cleaning up type, font, spacing and adding vocabulary corners in each unit.

Validation has not been carried out by experts in the field of writing English teaching material for the HUM department's students. Here are some conclusions related to the product English learning material for students in Hajj and Umrah Management.
