DESCRIPTION
The English (Reading) course is a compulsory subject in the Economics Study Program. The material contained in this course includes reading strategies. Competency-based lectures include active participation, portfolio assignments and competency exams. The learning objectives are to introduce students to reading strategies, namely; previewing, skimming, scanning, finding pronoun referents, guessing word meanings from context, and summarizing.
Each reading strategy is explained in more detail so that students understand and are expected to be able to apply these strategies in reading reading texts whose context is Economics.
Application of Islamic values in one unit and follow-up activity It is hoped that it can make students explore various aspects of life, including religious aspects.
The Course Features
Students will be able to:
Able to apply history, roles, and variety of Indonesian in daily life
Able to write text based on correct Indonesian grammar including spelling of Indonesian terms, words, diction, absorption elements, effective sentences, and paragraphs
Able to produce scientific papers correctly including the accuracy of scientific work concepts, citation techniques and bibliography, practice of writing scientific papers
Sub-CPMK Able to compile official letters according to scientific rules
