Humanity and Faith

Course : Humanity and Faith

Grade : 1st Semester (Odd Semester 2022/2023)

Credits : 2 (50 Minutes/meeting, 16 meeting in 1 semester)

DESCRIPTION

Within the material sphere of God, man and life, real and fundamental issues in people's lives from various dimensions thematically will be studied. Namely human nature, true Faith and Tawhid, Shirk, Superstition, Bid'ah, and superstition, Pillars of Faith. These themes are derived from Islamic values sourced from the Qur'an and As-Sunnah.

The Course Features Students will be able to:

 Able to understand the purpose and function of religion in life

 Able to understand the nature of God and humans in Islam

 Able to understand and practice the values of Tawhid in everyday life

 Able to know and practice the Islamic faith in the field of expertise and science (M4)

 Able to stay away from classical and modern shirk in life (M1 & M2)

 Able to instill faith in oneself, family and society as well as the life of the nation and state

 Able to know and apply personal, family, social morals in daily life (M1 & M3)

 Able to apply morals in organizational, national and state life and think logically and critically according to their field of expertise

Assessment :

 A class will be managed by class leader, consists of a class leader and its deputy.

They are selected democratically according to class members’ aggrement. The class leaders will get additional appreciation in terms of marks for respectively 10% and 7.5% out of normal marking arrangement above. Practically, they are responsible for several tasks:

 Ensuring class attendance and venue

 Ensuring class assignment timely collected

 Intermediating communicating between lecturer and students

 Assisting other related tasks concerning class if deemed necessary

 Students are allowed to join class for tolerated maximum 15 minutes for late attendance;

otherwise, they are forbidden entering class.

 Students who are absence due to getting sick and organizational activities must inform to the lecturer and class leader 2 hours before the class begin.

 Strictly to join in every meeting, presentation, visiting scholar/ guest star and assignment.

 Students who were absence for three consequtive weeks or accumulately has 3 unclear absence, are not allowed to join class for the entire semester .

 Test examination and assignment results will be announced

 Students who got D and E on his final marks, they have to repeat the course on the next academic year.

 Cheating and any dishonest conduct will lead to dismissal
