In the management of matters related to transport facilities and infrastructure, the Bengkalis Regency Government, through the Bengkalis Regent, gives responsibility and authority to the Bengkalis Regency Transport Department in managing the transport system in its territory.

During his internship at the Transport Department of Bengkalis Regency, the author was placed in the Technical Implementation Unit for Ferries.

In the first week I didn't do much practical work because I was taking care of the administration and I was still in the adjustment phase. Instructions from the Chief of the General and Civil Service Sub-Division on Practical Work in the Transport Department of Bengkalis Regency. In the second week, a lot of work was done and ordered, such as managing files and filling in forms to continue doing the work that was taught.
In the third week, they are taught to fill in forms and make data for civil servants in the Ferriage Technical Implementation Unit. In the 6th week, help with the work of about document for the Ferriage Technical Implementation Unit, and participate in the joint mutual cooperation between the transport service, police and military at the ferry port. In the 8th week, the work was carried out such as helping to fill in online SKP, printing documents and recording and archiving incoming letters.
In the 11th week, the work performed included assistance in the preparation of a written report and printing of documents. This week, helping to prepare and print the traffic safety command post report during Eid al Fitr at the Siak Kecil-Kab border post. Siak and Tanjung Kapal Rupat Crossing Command Post and Bengkalis District Transport Department Mutual Cooperation in Bandar Sri Laksamana Bengkalis Port.
In this week, the activities helped, among other things, to create a Letter of Shipping report and to print documents. After falling ill In the week before, the author receives an instruction from the leader to work from home. Printing is an activity of converting soft copy into hard copy that requires a tool in the form of a printer.
Finally, after completion, the scanned document can be selected whether to save as files, images or pdf. For the third obstacle, the author is a little difficult to do some work that needs a lot of documents on the table, also there is little space on the table for the author to put some things there. In the realization of this Lesson, the author has carried out an Internship in the transport department of Bengkalis regency, especially in the technical implementation unit of ferries, which lasted for 4 (four) months, starting from February 22, 2021 to June 30, 2021 .
So the author a little difficult to do some work that requires a lot of documents in the table, there are also a few spaces in the table for the author to put some things in there. Author makes some suggestions for different parties, namely for the author himself, for students or younger siblings who will do practical work in the next term, for companies and for the Statens Polytrechnic of Bengkalis.

Conclusion
The author is given tasks in the field of administration, the tasks are namely registration and archiving of incoming/outgoing letter, generation of package file name, scanning of documents/report, printing of documents/report, copied documents/report, input data , after mutual cooperation, letter. Then, in this Practice activity the author also understands how systems and procedures are implemented, such as in the process of making the shipping productivity report, before the posting process is initialized and authorized by the leader and the trading company. The first obstacle that the authors have while practicing in the ferry sector is that the desk space is narrow.
