By using the observation, the researcher can know a description of the students' behavior, learning process, natural phenomenon, problems and how they are solved. The observation is used when the subject of research is human behaviour, work process, natural phenomena and small respondent.35. According to Gorden, an interview is a conversation between two people, where one person tries to direct the conversation in order to obtain information for a specific purpose.

There are three types of interviews that will be used by the researcher. Structured interviews are used as data collection techniques if the researcher or data collector has known with certainty what information will be obtained. At Therefore, when conducting interviews, the data collector has prepared the instrument research in the form of written questions, where alternative answers have been prepared.

This type of interview is included in the category of in-depth interviews, where the implementation is more free compared to structured interviews. The purpose of this type of interview is to find problems more openly, where parties interviewed for their opinions and ideas. In conducting interviews, researchers must listen attentively and take notes that are set by the informant.

Unstructured interview, is free interview where the researcher does not use interview guides that have been.

Data Analysis

It is also known as the process of showing data only in the form of words, narrative, able to get the appropriate conclusion at the end. The final step is the stage of drawing conclusions based on findings and verifying data. As explained above, this is still provisional and will be changed if substantial evidence is found to support the next stage of data collection.

Validity of Data

So in this research the researcher uses an essay and charts to show the data which is very commonly used in qualitative research. Technical triangulation is the use of various data disclosure techniques performed to the data source. Test the credibility of the data by triangulating techniques, that is, checking the data for the same source with different techniques.

For example, in this research the researcher will use the technique and triangulation of the data source to validate the data. So, when the researcher will get the data from the observation, especially during the teaching and learning of the English subject, he will compare it with the result of the interview of different participants (between the teacher and the students).

CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION

From the results of the research, it can be concluded that the use of discovery learning method can improve the writing of descriptive text by students. Based on the interview above, it can be seen that the evaluation of the teaching ability of speaking through the discovery learning method was that the students answered some questions updated with the teacher's statement. Based on the above interview, it can be concluded that the assessment of teaching speaking skills through discovery learning method in MT As-Shiddiqy Jember applied rare discovery steps by self-learning.

Based on the interview and observation above, it can be seen that the evaluation of discovery learning method done by the teacher. The evaluation of the teaching of speaking skill through discovery learning strategy was in the form of the teacher's duty to present in front of the class.
