The results of the study are useful for the teachers and the students because they will get a new strategy that can be used effectively in the English learning process, especially in improving speaking skills. The result of this research shows that there has been an improvement in the speaking skills of the students.

Berdasarkan penjelasan di atas, peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian tentang “Peningkatan Keterampilan Berbicara melalui Peer Tutoring di Lintasan Imaginasi Bahasa Siswa (Libam) IAIN Parepare”. Apakah strategi tutor sebaya mampu meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara anggota Jalur Imajinasi Bahasa Mahasiswa (LIBAM) IAIN Parepare. Bagaimana Strategi Peer Tutoring meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara anggota Jalur Imajinasi Bahasa Mahasiswa (LIBAM) IAIN Parepare.
Mengetahui bahwa strategi peer tutoring dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara anggota Jalur Imajinasi Bahasa Siswa (LIBAM). Menemukan bagaimana strategi tutor sebaya meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara anggota Lintasan Imaginasi Bahasa Siswa (LIBAM).

The researcher decides to title her research “The Implementation of Peer Tutoring Strategy to Improve. 6Chen, Ching and Liu,Chan-Cheng, “A Case Study of Peer Tutoring Program in Higher Education. They are divided into two parts; they are concept of speaking and concept of peer teaching strategy.
Peer education can be applied among students of the same age or students belonging to different ages. A case study of peer tutoring program in higher education.” The Taiwan Online Journal of Education P. 2. . groups. Each child participates in reciprocal peer tutoring by providing prompts, error correction, and help to their partner.
Peer guidance in the classroom is unique in that all children are given task cards to keep them focused on the objectives of the lesson. In its peer tutoring manual for teachers and mentor teachers, Tudor divided the implementation of the peer tutoring strategy into six items. Peer tutoring strategy cannot improve speaking skills in LIBAM member IAIN Parepare.
Peer tutoring strategy is able to improve speaking skills of member by member of LIBAM IAIN Parepare. Each child participates in mutual peer teaching by providing prompts, corrections, and help to their partner. Whole-class peer teaching is unique because all children are given task cards to keep them focused on the lesson's objectives.

While collecting the data, the researcher administered a speaking test which consisted of a pre-test and a post-test. The pre-test was to see the speaking ability of the students before receiving treatment while the post-test was to know the speaking ability of the students. improvement in speaking based on the given strategy and the researcher used recorder as an aid in these activities. The researcher knows the . fluency in pre-test given immediately before treatment.
The researcher gave the topic to the members as a pre-test to know the speaking skills of the members. The researcher gave the topic to the members as a post-test to know the speaking skills of the members. The researcher compared the pre-test and post-test score by calculating the mean score and standard deviation of the test.
The researcher explained the procedure of peer tutoring strategy and gave an example about it. The researcher also provided the text to facilitate the students to ask and answer. Same as the previous meeting, the researcher gave a topic and the topic in this meeting.
The researcher did not allow the students or the tutors to remain silent in group. Consequently, the researcher concluded that the implementation of peer tutoring strategy is able to improve English speaking proficiency at LIBAM IAIN Parepare. The researcher will instruct the members to explain a topic on "The Importance of Book" for three minutes and the researcher will record it to know their oral speaking ability.
FINDING AND DISCUSSION
Findings
The finding of this research consists of the pre-test and post-test classification of the students and how peer tutoring improved the speaking skills of the members. From the result of the post-test, it aimed to find out to research the question that the implementation of peer teaching strategy is able to improve the members. speaking skills in LIBAM IAIN Parepare. Found in the table above about the members' speech in the pre-test, we can know the frequency of the classification result by looking at the table below:
It was shown that the speaking ability of the students in the pre-test was low, as most of the students got a fair, poor and very poor grade. The following is the calculation procedure for determining the mean value and standard deviation in the pretest of Table 4.3. After determining the mean score (X1) of the pretest was 24.7, and the standard deviation of the pretest was 6.63.
Based on the above table about students. speaking score in the post-test, we can find out the frequency of classification by looking at the following table. Since the score is at this point, the mean post-test score was higher than the mean score in the pre-test. The result and percentage of frequency rate of pre-test and post-test were presented in the following table:.

The data in the table above indicated that the percentage of the pre-test and post-test increased, from the very poor classification of the students was changed to fair classification. Following is the table to find out the difference between the mean score between pre-test and post-test.
The researcher helped the members to pronounce all the expressions they would use in the activity. The researcher was very happy about this and she was proud of the improvement in the members' speech at that time.
Discussion
Additionally, based on Cook Abigails argument in the same chapter, peer tutoring is a teaching strategy where students are paired together to practice academic skills and master content. A teacher can use peer tutoring to accommodate a classroom full of diverse students who need more individualized attention. There are many benefits and challenges of peer tutoring that teachers should consider before implementing such a program in the classroom.
While matching the statement of Hall & Stegilas in the same chapter, peer tutoring is a teaching system where students help each other and learn by teaching. Peer mentoring, also known as multi-age peer mentoring, youth youth mentoring, and everyone teaches one, is one of the most effective methods in promoting student-centered learning. It is recommended for an English teacher to implement a peer tutoring strategy when teaching speaking, because by implementing a peer tutoring strategy in speaking, it can help students to confidently express their ideas and feelings.

Then in the third meeting All the members improved in speaking especially with their vocabulary and in the last meeting of the treatment, the understanding of the members made better progress in this meeting. She is a student of the English Education Program at the Faculty of Tarbiyah at the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Parepare. In the same year she studied at Smp Islam Nur El-Haq and finished in 2013, then continued her studies at MA Al-Mustaqim and graduated in 2016.
After graduation, she decided to continue her studies at State Islamic Collage (STAIN) Parepare, but now become State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Parepare. She took Tarbiyah Faculty and focused on English education program and finished her studies with the title.
