Abstract

Development of drugs provide specific information on drug targets, mechanism, and interaction with other drugs. This information is important in order to prevent adverse drug reactions when prescribing more than 1 drugs. Electronic databases like Drugbank provide storage and access of this information to the public mass. However, not all drug databases are freely available making it hard to authenticate and compare drug data, especially for Indonesian drugs.

Indonesia also doesn’t have a standardized national drug database and/or national guideline for drug storage information which makes creating one such database that also provides drug-drug interaction (DDI) screening an importance. This study develops a prototype database that stores both drug and DDI information of local drug products provided by Liramedika Hospital as part of a large collaboration project with i3L. The database is created based on MySQL Workbench program using Structure Query Language (SQL) programming language. The final result is a visualization of the database in the form of a website using XAMPP package inside a local server environment created using the Apache Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) Server Environment. An admin website is created for admin users to change the drug data in the database using different functionalities like

“Input”, “Update”, and “Delete”. A user website is made for the public mass to search and look up drug information from the database using certain keywords.
