CHAPTER V

CONCLUTION AND SUGESTION

A. Conclution

Based on the problems that have been determined regarding "The influence of Miming Game in udestanding simple past tense at the VIII grade Mts Al-khairiyah Pontang, Pontang- Serang-Banten", researcher describe the following conclusions:

In English learning, the teacher should choose a method that is in place in delivering the material, do not just use the same method to deliver different materials. It would be nice to use the appropriate method so that students can digest and understand the lesson or material delivered by the teacher very well, because the character of students in understanding the material is also different. One of them is Miming Game. From the research that has been done, the implementation of Miming Game in learning simple past tense has 5 stages, the first is 1) preparing materials, 2) making groups, 3) delivering material and Miming Game methods, 4) practice in class and 5) last is other groups answered.

From the results of statistical calculations that have been carried out that the use of Miming Game in understanding simple past tense material does not produce a large influence, It can be seen that the t-test result (0.7) is lower than the significant. The percentage of Miming Game effect in

teaching simple past tense is also low. Based on the calculation of Cohen's d Effect Size, it gains d=0.25 and it accomplishes become 0.3 which means the use of mnemonic technique for teaching vocabulary mastery has a low criterion (62%). Although the results of the research or statistical calculations show that there is no significant effective of Miming Game in understanding students of Simple Past Tense at Mts Al-Khairiyah Pontang, but Miming Game model in simple past tense learning has a positive side that is not obtained if using the usual method, that Miming Game are able to make students active and have a positive effect for students to be more interested in learning activities.

B. Sugestion

The researcher would like to provide suggestions from the results of the research that has been carried out to further researcher, English language teacher schools and students at Mts al kahiriyah Pontang regarding the teaching and learning process.

1. For the next research

For future researcher who want to use the Miming Game method, use and plan the best possible time when practicing in class, because the implementation of Miming Game in class takes a lot of time, and improve and look for more updates regarding the implementation in class so that the implementation in class can run effectively.

2. School

Schools must pay attention and support students so that they are more diligent, enthusiastic and serious in learning anything in class or outside the classroom, especially learning foreign languages.

3. English Teacher

English teachers must know each student's character in understanding the material to be delivered, because by knowing the character of each student, the teacher will easily determine the learning model that is suitable for use and students will more easily understand and understand the lesson.

4. Students

For Mts Al-Khairiyah Pontang students who the researcher loves, especially class VIII Grade. Researcher just want to say that they should be more active and enthusiastic in learning all lessons, especially English, increase their memorization of vocabulary, reading and writing skill, and most importantly, try to be brave to perform or speak in front of the class using a foreign language, especially English.
