SYLLABUS

FACULTY ECONOMIC AND BUSINESS

INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM FOR ISLAMIC ECONOMICS AND FINANCE (IPIEF)

4 Objective

The main goal is to give students an understanding of the basic principles of business, global business, entrepreneurship, management, marketing, information technology, and financial management. Another purpose of this program is to introduce students about Islamic business, especially in Indonesia. The students will assign to propose business practice and sell their products directly to customers (Business start-up).

5 Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this subject students should be able to:

1. Understand and identify external environments of business and global economic systems.

2. Understand and identify current global challenges and how they affect businesses.

3. Distinguish social responsibility from ethics and evaluate Corporate Social Responsibility Programs.

4. Distinguish various business organizations and identify the importance of Small Business in today’s economy.

5. Understand and analyse the role of Entrepreneurship in Small Business Development.

6. Explain the important aspects in Operations Management and Quality that affect business competitiveness.

7. Understand and analyse various Marketing

Management programs.

8. Understand and analyse Accounting and Financial Management.

9. Understand basic principles of Islamic business in Indonesia

10. Having experience in doing real business/selling directly to real customers.

6 Synopsis

This course introduces students to know and understand the contemporary business world, business management, organization, marketing principles, managing information and financial problems. In addition, it introduces selected topics related to Islamic business and will be discussed throughout the course.

1. ACADEMIC HONESTY / SCHOLASTIC DISHONESTY

- Students are responsible to treat themselves with honor and integrity in fulfilling the requirements of completing the course.

- "Scholastic Dishonesty" including, but not limited to, cheating when to take the test, plagiarism, and collusion.

2. COURSE COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS

- Students are considered to have been able / mastering courses if they have completed the assignment treatise, completed 4 (four times) test competence in classroom / test and online / take home, and raise questions and answers in a class discussion.
