Perspective from HP08 Tourism Management of Faculty Business, Economics & Accountancy Students
A quick survey has been done among 17 Tourism Management students to see their perspectives towards Islamic banking (IB) and finance. The survey contains two parts which are Islamic banking and
Islamic finance. Majorly of the respondent are female which is 76% (13 students) and 23% for males.
Respondents are between the age of 22 and 25 which is generally students from year one to year three.
Respondents for this survey are Muslims and only Christion for non-Muslims.

At the same time, 70.59% of the respondents are existing customers of Islamic banking (Q2).
82.35% think IB is a sustainable industry (Q3).

Even though 12 respondents are existing customers of IB, only 29% know about Islamic finance product (Q1).
82% of respondents think that Islamic finance is good(Q2) 70.5% of respondents have a high level of trust in Islamic
finance product (Q3).

There are only 29% of respondents have knowledge about Islamic finance products such as Murabahah and Takaful .
