A COMPARATIVE SURVEY BETWEEN THE USE OF VIDEO AND SINGING IN STUDENTS IN LISTENING COMPREHENSIVE AT MTS. And it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the use of video and singing by the students of the listening comprehension of the seventh grade students of Mts Muhammadiyah Metro. Therefore, it can be concluded that the listening skills level of seventh grade students of MTS Muhammadiyah Metro is insufficient.

In addition, the seventh grade students of the MTS Muhammadiyah Metro also experienced problems with their lack of English proficiency. Therefore, the title of this study is “A Comparative Study Between the Use of Video and Song in Students Listening Comprehension at MTS Muhammadiyah Metro Academic Year 2018/2019”. The researcher formulates the research problems, which include: ―Is there a significant difference in student listening skills when using video and singing among the seventh graders of MTS Muhammadiyah Metro in the academic year.

This research and the first previous research have similarities in the research methods in quantitative. While the difference between this study and the first previous research lies in the difference in the study sample. 1 Anggita Fatmawati, ―A comparative study between teaching students by video and audio in listening comprehension for first grade students in Smp Muhammadiyah 9 Gemolong in the academic year pp.30-38.

The sample of this study was students of VIIA grade MTS Muhammadiyah Metro, while the study sample was the first previous research of the student private language institute in Kermanshah, Iran.2.

In order to find out the listening comprehension of seventh grade students of MTS Muhammadiyah Metro, the writer used listening comprehension. This means that a song is a more effective technique for a student's listening comprehension than a video. After using the medium, the author analyzed the data using a t-test to prove whether there are significant differences between the video and the song in the listening comprehension of students in the seventh grade of MTS Muhammadiyah Metro.

It can be inferred that there is significant difference between the use of video and song, students' listening comprehension, the seventh grade students in Mts Muhammadiyah Metro. The headmaster should provide guidance or training to the teacher about the method, media in teaching and learning, especially in visual media. The principal can recommend the teacher to try this video.

Ha : Video and song are important for students' listening comprehension in seventh grade in MTS Muhammadiyah Metro in the academic year 2019/2020. To measure the listening comprehension of the seventh grade at MTS Muhammadiyah Metro, the author will take the listening comprehension test as the instrument by asking the students to fill in the blanks related to the missing words based on the sounds they have listened to. The writer takes class VII A and VII B in this research because the writer wants to know the students' listening comprehension.

The writer uses the documentation method to get detailed information about the condition of teachers and official employees, the number of students and the organizational structure of MTS Muhammadiyah Metro in the academic year 2019/2020. The test measures the students' ability on the subject by listening topic. To investigate whether there is a positive and significant influence of potential sentence strategy on the listening comprehension of the seventh grade students in MTS Muhammadiyah Metroin academic year, the researcher analyzes the data using a t-test.

Video more effective in increasing the students' listening comprehension can be seen that t-observed. It is better for the English teacher to use make a match as a media in teaching listening to increase the students' listening comprehension.

From the student performance tests of two techniques above, the author concluded that the technique that was more effective was video. The writing observer how to get students to listen with this way of teaching listening. In the media video, students can see pictures with good ones and the student understands more.

And also this strategy can make students more active in learning English process.

History and Profile of MTs Muhammadiyah Metro MTs Muhammadiyah Metro is the 6th integration of PGA Muhammadiyah, which was established on August 1, 1956. The 4th head of MTs Muhammadiyah Metro, Mr. Sugiman served until 2003, after Mr. his position was replaced by Mr. Sukardi until 2012. This research discusses the comparison of using video and song in students' listening comprehension.

Therefore it can be concluded that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. For other researchers, this video research can be used as input to conduct the next research with different subject, population and country.

It is suggested to increase their ability to master listening in order to learn English.
