My dear Cox:-
The Shamut Company will pay your expenses East and the plan I have is that you connect with the Erie train leaving Chicago at 11.58 Sunday morning next, (train #4) reaching Olean at 6.32 AM Monday, wait at Olean for train #102 leaving at 7.54 reach Friendship at 8.38 and wait there for me. I will arrive on train #7 due 10.04 and we will go on together on the Shawmut line to St. Mary’s. These times are from an old schedule and may be slightly changed but not much. You will keep an account of your expenses and send in the bill as I will tell you. You had better wire me that you accept this plan and I will make the arrangements. Bring a sample or two of your work if you can and be prepared with figures.
