Shenango Pottery Company Manufacturers of

Canonsburg Nov 25, 1907
My dear Professor,
Enclosed you will find my completed paper. I hope you will forgive me for being so lax in finishing it. I can plead nothing but hard work and very little time.
Sunday before last I spent in Pittsburg with Mr. L. He and I had a great talk about all sorts of things. I expect he will be up here soon.
The Shenango Pottery is practically shut down and I have been laid off indefinitely. I expect that this means until February at least, judging from the financial situation. If you hear of anything at all in the ceramic line, even if not in whiteware, I wish you would let me know. I cannot afford to take a very long vacation.
It is very fortunate that my folks are now living down here. I can have a good long visit with them and at very little expense.
Hoping that school is going as you with it, I remain
Yours very respectfully R. G. Cowan
