Project Title: Development of Sustainable Alternative Livelihoods in Coral Coastal Fishing Communities in Coral Triangle Area, Berau District. Fishing communities, especially on remote coasts and small islands, are the poorest of the poor in Indonesia. At the same time, the coral reefs and other coastal and marine resources that provide their livelihoods are exposed to ongoing threats from natural processes and human activities.
To overcome the problem, it is felt necessary to improve the communities. potential to earn income and retrain them to undertake alternative livelihood activities so that they can participate in the exercise of effective protection of coastal and marine resources, especially coral reefs and associated ecosystems. Training programs to strengthen the project management capacity of officers of the District Office of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries in Berau. 2) 40 (forty) units of alternative sources of income formed, while 30 units are run by a woman, with a minimum Financial Internal Rate of Return (FIRR) of 20%;

- Project Title : Third National Communication to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate
It established the baseline in terms of POP issues in the country, including preliminary inventories of POP chemicals and respective action plans, as well as strategies for meeting the country's obligations under the Stockholm Convention. The NIP for the Stockholm Convention identified the phase-out and elimination of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) as one of the top priorities requiring immediate attention and action. The rationale and objectives of the project arise from the priorities and key objectives identified by the NIP: (i) Establish regulations for PCB-containing equipment; (ii) Measuring PCB contamination, especially in mining activities, industrial areas and power stations, ships and vessels; (iii) Strengthen the capacity and capacity of infrastructure and human resources; (iv) Environmentally responsible management of PCBs containing equipment and waste; (v) Ensure the destruction of PCBs and PCB-containing equipment in an environmentally safe manner in accordance with Best Available Techniques/Best Environmental Practices (BAT/BEP) and increase the number of destruction facilities based on geographical considerations, and; (vi).
The overall aim of the project is to eliminate the use and release of PCBs into the environment through the introduction of ESM and to dispose of at least 3,000 tonnes of PCB waste, PCB-contaminated oil and equipment. Project title: Third National Communication to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Nations United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC). Following the signing of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Rio in 1992, which was then ratified in 1994 through Law No.
According to one of the requirements of the convention, Indonesia must report their activities to address climate change to the UNFCCC through National Communication on Climate Change (TNC) documents. - Project Title : Improvement of Application of Green City Concept in Urban Area Development
Project title: Development of the flood forecasting and warning system in the upstream of the Citarum river warning system in the upstream of the Citarum river basin. Indonesia is a rapidly developing and urbanizing country with increasing pressure on the nation's natural resources. Java Island, which occupies only 7 percent of the total area of the country but has 59 percent of the population, 70 percent of the irrigated agriculture and 75 percent of the industry, has benefited from high economic growth, but bears most of the burden of the pressure of rapid urbanization and industrialization.
The water resources of the Citarum River Basin (CRB) and Jakarta and its surrounding areas (Jabodetabek) on the island of Java are of vital importance for the social and economic development of the country, rapid urbanization, deforestation and inadequate land management in the basin have greatly affected increased exposure to flood risk and high sedimentation rates. Project Title: Enhancing the Application of the Green City Concept in Urban Development in Urban Development. In 2011, the Ministry of Public Works launched green city development programs to promote the improvement of the quality of the urban environment in Indonesia.
Included in the program are concepts about green transport, green energy, green waste, green water and green construction. Preparation of individual master plan for implementation of the concept of green transport, green waste, green energy, green construction and green water in the proposed cities. The Indonesian government has indicated that the revitalization of agriculture is one of the national priorities to sustain national economic growth and to achieve food self-sufficiency in terms of food security.
As one of the measures to revive the agricultural sector, reduce water resources and reduce the size of rice fields due to land conversion on the overpopulated island of Java, the government of Indonesia has developed a strategy to implement a program which focuses on the development and management of irrigation system. According to the Strategic Planning 2010-2014 of the Directorate of Irrigation, Directorate General of Water Resources, the program consists of new irrigation development of approximately 500,000 ha, rehabilitation and improvement of approximately 1,342,870 ha and operation and maintenance of approximately 2,341,363 ha.
Ministry of Transportation/
- Project Title : Engineering Services of Surabaya Regional Railway Line
- Executing Agency : Ministry of Transportation
- Implementing Agency : Directorate General of Railways, Ministry of Transportation
- Duration : 9 months
Surabaya city's population numbers are not coherent with the growth of the city's employment levels, resulting in an increasing number of commuters from surrounding communities to the city every day. The use of cars and motorcycles has steadily increased over the years, while between 2008 and 2009, the city's vehicle population increased by 43%, but on the other hand, the bus population shrank by 29%. Based on the strong need for public transportation availability, Surabaya's proposed Medium-Term Regional Development Plan (RPJMD) for 2011-2015 emphasizes the development of a mass transit system and the improvement of public transportation service.
Therefore, the suburban commuter rail system will be designed to connect the transfer rail stations with the future public transport systems within the city.

This difference often causes project delay which leads to reduced project effectiveness. In addition to these two main issues, project preparation also becomes a concern, due to the different schedule of ADB and the Government of Indonesia in the project preparation phase. Based on this reality, to overcome this problem a harmonization between ADB and the Local Government System is needed in order to achieve the effectiveness of the development process in the future.
Harmonization of ADB's Defense Policy Statement and National Defense System, harmonization of ADB's Procurement System and Government of Indonesia, strengthening of project preparation and capacity development. Alignment of the ADB system and the Government of Indonesia and improvement of procedures in the preparation and implementation of projects. As one of the main cities in Indonesia, Denpasar faces a difficult problem in urban public transport, public transport in Denpasar serves only 38% of the total road length of the city, where as the number of public transport that had been operating in 2012 has decreased in 50 % from previous years.
Project Title: Support for Selected Sector Analysis for Medium Term National Development Planning 2015-2019 Medium Term Development Planning 2015-2019 on ASEAN Connectivity. Indonesia faces significant project implementation challenges in realizing these regional connectivity plans, therefore, solutions to these problems are needed by the Government of Indonesia to achieve its commitments to ASEAN by 2015. Consultants are sent to support the government ( i) provide Medium-Term National Development Plans the approaches for the implementation of KPCK's commitments in its 3 pillars; and (ii) alignment of international programs of connection with MP3EI and.
Traffic in Surabaya was currently carried out by private vehicles, while public mass transport only covers about 6% of needs. Therefore, the Surabaya City Government plans to revitalize Surabaya's public transportation system through (i) promotion of mass rapid transit that integrates with the existing public transportation; (ii) promotion of sidewalks and bicycle lanes to support movement within key corridors. Completion of the feasibility study of Surabaya Mass Rapid Transport as a basis for the further planning and implementation phase. Recent consultations between the Government of Indonesia (GoI) and ADB have highlighted the importance of continued support for infrastructure development to sustain inclusive growth.
Technical assistance (TA) and capacity building for infrastructure consisting of water supply and other utility infrastructure and services (water supply and sanitation, waste management, urban sector development, transport (road transport, transport management and policies), energy (renewable energy sources, energy efficiency and saving through the development of the energy sector).
