The left and right sides of the engine are seen from the flywheel. Do not add fuel to the tank while the engine is running (unless absolutely necessary). Make sure the engine is not running in a location where it can cause a concentration of toxic emissions.

Other persons must be kept at a safe distance while the engine or equipment is running. Do not remove the cooling system filler cap when the engine is hot and the coolant is under pressure, because dangerously hot coolant can be discharged. Ensure that the engine is only started from the control panel or from the operator's position.

Make sure the transmission drive control lever is in the "disengaged" position before starting the engine. The flammable material of some engine parts (for example certain seals) can become extremely dangerous when burned.

If you are using a single element filter, unscrew the banjo connection screw located on top of the filter (B1). Operate the priming lever on the fuel lift pump (C) until air-free fuel flows from the filter vent point. Note: If the fuel lift pump drive cam is at the point of maximum cam lift, the priming lever will not be able to be operated.

Note: : : : A wrench should be placed on the nut head of a fuel starting aid to prevent movement when tightening or loosening the union nut. If the fuel line on the fuel starting aid has been emptied, loosen the union nut (A1) on the fuel starting aid (if present) and operate the boost pump until air-free fuel comes out of the connection. A wrench should be placed on the nut head of a fuel starting aid to prevent movement while tightening or loosening the union nut.

Attention: Do not tighten the high-pressure hose nut more than the recommended torque tension. If there is a leak from the union nut, make sure the hose is properly aligned with the dispenser inlet. Do not overtighten the atomizer union nut as this may cause obstruction at the end of the tube.

If the engine runs fine for a short time and then stalls or runs rough, check for air in the fuel system. If there is air in the fuel system, there is probably a leak in the low pressure system.

The recommendations shown below are designed to prevent damage to the engine when it is withdrawn from service for an extended period. The system can be kept full of normal fuel, but the fuel must be drained and discarded at the end of the storage period along with the fuel filter element(s). Fill the sump to the full mark in the dipstick with new, clean lubricating oil.

To protect the cooling system from corrosion, fill it with an anti-corrosion antifreeze mixture. Run the engine for a short period to circulate the lubricating oil and coolant in the engine. Seal the manifold, fuel tank vent pipe, or fuel filler cap with waterproof tape.

If engine protection is carried out correctly according to the above recommendations, corrosion damage will normally not occur. Lovol Engines (Tianjin) Co., Ltd is not responsible for any damage that may occur while an engine is in storage after a period of use. After a period of storage, but before starting the engine, operate the starter motor with the engine stop switch (3.03/A) or (3.03/B) in the stop position until the oil pressure is indicated.

If a solenoid stop control is used on the fuel injection pump, it must be disconnected for this operation. If problems arise with your engine or with the components fitted to it, your Lovol dealer can make the necessary repairs and will ensure that only the correct parts are fitted and that the work is carried out correctly. Workshop manuals and other service publications (including: Parts Illustrators, Owner's Manual, Service Manual, Lovol Engine After-Service Manual, Service and Maintenance CD or Wall Charts, etc.) are available from your Lovol dealer at a nominal cost.

Eliminate air from the fuel system and start fueling

PB fuel pumps, RSV governors and electronically controlled governors are applied to diesel engines produced by Tianjin Lovol Engines Co., Ltd., which are used in electric generating sets. The basic geometric data of PB pumps and type A pumps are the same, so both types can be changed. Moving parts such as the disc and the nozzle shaft can be uninstalled from the top of the pump.

Notices on Adjustment and Use of PB Pump

Theory of RSV Governor

The solenoid actuator is an actuator of an electronic controller that can control the output displacement of the actuator by controlling a coil current in the solenoid actuator. The electronic actuator directly drives the high-pressure fuel pump rack on the engine, allowing it to control the fuel supply to the engine and therefore its speed. The speed controller is a fully electronic device that can control the engine speed with fast and accurate response to the instantaneous load variation. Reliability is high and can withstand environmental interference around the engine.

The use and maintenance of the turbocharger

Tianjin Lovol individual pump engine adopts the GARRETT Turbo charger. Then take the Garrett Turbocharger as an example to conduct description

Instructions for operation

When the vacuum degree at the compressor inlet exceeds 6.5 kPa (0.064 kgf/cm2), the air filter container must be cleaned or replaced. When the exhaust brake is activated, the exhaust pressure limit must be as specified in the operating instructions.

The fault diagnosis of a turbocharged diesel engine

By carefully checking the damaged parts of the turbocharger and correctly analyzing their working conditions, the causes of the problem can be definitively identified. If it is difficult to find the causes in a short time, it is very important to find out the cause for each condition. If the turbocharger is damaged by external factors and repaired without finding the cause, the replaced parts will also be damaged due to unknown causes.

If there is air leakage between the air outlet and the engine air inlet. If there is air leakage in the pipe between the turbo air inlet and exhaust pipe air outlet. Too high oil pressure or oil level in the crankcase; Crankcase breather pipe restriction.

Notes

Problems related to lubrication

Oil leakage

Carbon residue builds up in the center case fuel tank, causing the fuel to flow back smoothly. The surface of the compressor is damaged by foreign matter entering it through the intake manifold or air filter. The air filter is not replaced as needed or a poor quality filter element is used, resulting in poorly filtered air.

Something like bolts fall into the exhaust manifolds during its installation, and they enter the turbine with the exhaust gas. Any foreign substance will affect the dynamic balance of the rotor, causing the rotor to seize or the rotating shaft to break.

Preservation

Tianjin Lovol individual pump engine adopts the Huber EGR valve electric control system, it will be explained as follows

13 power cable 14 water thermometer 15 water temperature sensor 16 oil pressure gauge 17 oil pressure sensor 18 oil pressure alarm light 19 water temperature alarm light. Start the motor main cable (the thick line in the diagram), the total resistance cannot be more than 0.0034 ohms. The maximum voltage drop in the starter coil circuit must not exceed 1.0V.

II Introduction of main elements 3.1 Sensors

ECU:

The DOC should be cleaned regularly to prevent excessive carbon buildup from affecting engine performance. The inlet temperature at the EGR valve should not exceed 550 ℃, otherwise the valve may be damaged; and the exhaust gas temperature should be higher than 150 ℃ to prevent carbon accumulation. In order to ensure that the valve automatically removes carbon deposits at a temperature above 300 ℃, it is recommended that the inlet temperature at the valve reaches this temperature regularly to eliminate carbon deposits.

To avoid the accumulation of water in the valve inside the EGR, the inlet direction of the valve inner valve should be down as the lowest point.
