Math instructor added to LAS faculty 8/14/08
Xiuhong Du has joined Alfred University's College of Liberal Arts & Sciences as a mathematics instructor for the 2008-09 academic year. Prior to joining AU, Xiuhong received a Ph.D. and a master of arts degree in mathematics from Temple University. She also graduated with honor from Dalian University of Technology, China. Xiuhong has taught in the Department of Mathematics at Temple and at the Russell Conwell Educational Services Center at Temple.Her research interests include numerical analysis, scientific computing, numerical linear algebra, and domain decomposition. She has doctoral research experience in the Department of Mathematics at Temple University. Xiuhong received a teaching assistantship at Temple University from 2002-07. He received the Temple Graduate Student
Conference Travel Award in 2006.
